He spent many years feeling unhappy with his life and thinking that transition was impossible, and that therefore he should learn to live as a woman.πŸ‡§πŸ‡· After the split, he decided it was time to pursue his true identity, something that affected his band, but only in the beginning. Even today, some people still refer to him as β€œshe”, but he is very patient, thinking it is just ignorance regarding the subject.

Ryan Sallans is a writer and carpenter who decided to start his journey to become a man in 2005. He has been sharing his journey on Instagram to try to teach people what it means to start this transition and what it takes to deal with it. It took a long time before he was able to publish anything from his childhood or adolescence, due to the women’s clothing and personality he had at the time. At first, he pretended that this time never existed in his life. Its aim is to eliminate the stigma of the transgender community and making people realize that trans people are just like everyone else.

11. Elliot Fletcher

Everyone always referred to him as a girl and he would rather die than live like that. Then, at age 17, he introduced himself to his parents as transgender and asked his teachers to call him masculine. Now, he is happier than ever with the way he looks and surrounds himself only with people who love and understand him.

12. Chris Mosier

Chris Mosier is a triathlete who spearheaded the change in guidelines for the participation of transgender athletes in international games. He was the first trans athlete to be included in the United States team and also the first to be featured in a Nike ad. As a woman, he used to date a lot of boys in his college years, but one day he met a woman who later became his wife. She had trouble identifying as a lesbian and always thought she was straight. The reason for this was that she did not identify as a woman. He was also disappointed in his body and never agreed with his breasts until he started transitioning in 2010. His wife supported him on the journey and he achieved more records in his career, competing against male athletes in that time.
