It’s not easy to remove all this dirt with a common vacuum cleaner – it only sucks the dust from the surface, but it doesn’t reach the layers where the hairs “hide”. Fortunately, netizens found a solution — use a regular glass squeegee. Just pass it on the mat, pressing lightly. Hairs, fur and dust rise to the surface, and we only need to collect them with a vacuum cleaner.

The easiest way to remove scratches and shoe marks from the floor is to use a regular tennis ball. You won’t even need chemicals! Choose a light-colored ball so you don’t stain anything, and rub the darkened surface with it. To remove the toughest dirt, you can make an X-shaped cut in the ball and fit it into a broom handle. This will help you rub with more pressure.

It is not necessary to buy a special detergent to clean the washing machine: ordinary white vinegar will work just fine. To clean a top load washing machine, pour a liter of vinegar into the drum and start the longest cycle at the hottest temperature possible. After five minutes, open the lid and let the machine sit with the solution for about an hour. Then resume the cycle and wait for the water to drain.

For cleaning front-loading washing machines, less vinegar is needed — 3/4 of a measuring cup is enough. First, pour the liquid into the detergent compartment. Then start washing at the maximum temperature. When the water drains, schedule another rinse cycle to eliminate any remaining vinegar. For the best effect, you can add baking soda.

One of the most unpleasant problems at home is clogs, which sometimes happen suddenly, and a pipe plunger is not always at hand. The good news is that we can use a dishwasher tablet. They contain alkaline salts and bleaching agents, which deal with clogs caused by grease or food residue. Just let the tablet dissolve in the pipe with the problem. However, don’t expect it to work as quickly as a special alkali-based product—give it some time. The tablet won’t eliminate the hair blockage that often occurs in the bathroom drain, but it will help unclog the kitchen sink.

The tablets can also be used to clean soap stains, for example, on the glass shower in the bathroom. It’s simple: soak the tablet in warm water and clean the shower with it, paying special attention to the areas with the most dirt. Then rinse. Soap marks can be removed in 15 minutes.

Sometimes even the strongest cleaning agents are unable to remove stubborn greasy crusts, as by scraping off the soot you risk damaging the surface of the pan. Fortunately, there is a simple and effective way to remove burnt-on food: just cover the bottom of the pan with oil and place it in the oven for 20 minutes. The soot melts and turns into a liquid mass, which can be easily removed with a sponge when it cools down.

To keep your clothes from “shooting” static electricity, just roll up a ball of aluminum foil and throw it in your washing machine. Such a ball can serve for a long time — about six months. The best thing is that with this trick you won’t need to spend money on special antistatic detergents or softeners.

We all know how difficult it can be to sweep the last remnants of dust into the dustpan. If you want to avoid picking them up by hand with a napkin, you can use a simple trick: stick a piece of masking tape around the edge of the shovel. The tape will cover the space between the shovel and the floor, and you will easily collect all the rubbish.

When it comes to cleaning, a large part of the time is dedicated to cleaning windows: window sills, window frames, glass, mosquito nets. We don’t always have time for a thorough cleaning. In this case, you can remove dust and insects from the mosquito net with a lint roller.
