Toxins are present everywhere—in the air we breathe, the food we eat, and even the water we drink. Even on your phone (whether it’s landline or mobile) there’s a huge amount of invisible dirt, with enough bacteria to make you sick. Toxins accumulate in our body and if they reach a critical point, you can have serious health problems.
To help you realize that it might be time for a detox, the awesome.club compiled a list of symptoms that indicate an overload of toxins in the body. To learn how to detox, read the bonus at the end.
suffer from constipation
When we eat, we are also inadvertently consuming many chemicals that come with food, such as preservatives, artificial colors and flavors. The intestines, responsible for digestion, also have to deal with the reaction to these toxins, the accumulation of which can cause stomach pain and constipation.
Consuming organic foods, limiting alcohol intake and drinking plenty of water can help solve the problem.
have brain fog
If you feel dizzy, confused, and can’t concentrate even in the morning after a good night’s sleep, you may be experiencing symptoms of brain fog. This is because harmful toxins can cause a series of reactions that decrease essential vitamins and minerals the body needs to function. The situation can be compared to what happens when you put bad oil in your car.
Deodorants don’t help and you still smell bad
You showered in the morning, put on deodorant, and yet, on public transport, people held their noses when you approached because of the bad smell? Yes, toxins could be making you smell bad! When digested, they produce gases and odors that, when escaping through the pores of your body, can generate an odor capable of competing with the most foul gases you have ever smelled.
Joint and muscle pain is killing you
If you haven’t pushed yourself in the gym or done physically exhausting work, but you still have muscle and joint pain, the buildup of toxins could be the cause. Body aches are a sign that you may have uncontrolled inflammation in your system. Therefore, if you have no other reason for this type of discomfort, look for a detoxification technique.
Spots appear on the skin
The skin is our body’s largest organ and is often exposed to pollution. Also, products like shampoos, conditioners, soaps and lotions that we use can contain harmful chemicals. Exposure to so many toxic chemicals can cause symptoms like acne, rashes, and even eczema.
Sleep is getting harder
Toxin buildup can, at best, leave you feeling exhausted. And, in the worst case, it can disrupt your sleep. High amounts of toxins in the body can cause the level of the sleep control hormone, cortisol, to fail, making it difficult for you to fall asleep. Insomnia can lead to serious health problems. So if you find it increasingly difficult to sleep, look for a way to detoxify your body.
Weight gain
If despite trying hard at the gym, you continue to gain weight, this could indicate some kind of problem with your hormones. Toxins can negatively affect the level of certain hormones in the body, including those responsible for maintaining weight. Switching to a healthy organic diet and going through a complete detox should help.
You have bad breath and you even realize it
Bad breath is usually a symptom of digestive problems. It can be detected when you find it difficult to digest everything you eat. But digestive problems can also occur when the liver struggles to clean out all the accumulated toxins. In that case, getting rid of them is the only way to solve the problem.
Your toenails are brittle and look bad
Gravity pushes the toxins down and your nails can suffer. For much of the day, toes remain inside socks and shoes, an ecosystem that fungi love. This causes the nail to become a conducive environment for fungal growth. While there are prescribed pharmaceutical applications to address the problem, internal treatment through detoxification is a form of holistic procedure.
fast hair loss
Hair loss is not a symptom of toxic overload caused by everyday toxins. This problem may be related to more dangerous toxins, such as arsenic, lead and thallium (found in cigarette smoke), among others, which can even be lethal. Therefore, do not consider hair loss as a common thing and go to the doctor.
Bonus: How to Detox Your Body
If you have one or more of the conditions described above, it might be a good idea to have a detox. While there are more complex procedures, small lifestyle changes can already help.
Drink large amounts of water. This helps eliminate toxins; Toxins cause liver damage. To keep you strong, drink dandelion tea or add parsley, coriander or milk thistle to your meal; Practice yoga. This improves the body’s circulation and helps get rid of toxins; Brush your teeth in the evening after dinner. And don’t forget to use a tongue scraper; Eat clean, whole, organic foods; Add probiotics to your diet; Use only natural cosmetics that are free of fragrances and other toxins.
