10 Surprising Theories About The Disney Universe That Will Question Everything You Know

There are those who believe in the theory according to which Disney created a universe where all the stories that this giant of the animation world tells take place. This means that all the plots and characters could be connected in some way, and fans love to conjecture about it. The result is the emergence of very curious theses. Many of them are so surprising and convincing that one comes to believe that not everything in the Disney world is as simple as it seems.

O awesome.club put together some interesting theories about Disney hit movies. It is worth at least reflecting on each of them. Check out!

1. Rapunzel is Anna and Elsa’s cousin

In Frozen a freezing adventure, Anna and Elsa’s parents are shipwrecked and never found. One of the film’s directors, Jennifer Lee, once said that they were on their way to a wedding, and this gave fans good reason to think it was Rapunzel’s wedding.

In the animation, the plot unfolds 3 years after the shipwreck and the wedding. rolled up was released on November 24, 2010, exactly 3 years before in Frozen a freezing adventurewhich hit theaters on November 27, 2013.

Since Rapunzel appeared at Elsa’s coronation, many fans have come to claim that they may be related: Rapunzel’s mother would be Anna and Elsa’s father’s sister.

2. Tarzan is Anna and Elsa’s brother

There were people who went even further than the previous theory. What if Anna and Elsa’s parents didn’t die on the ship? For some fans, they ended up on the coast of a jungle area, where they built a tree house and had another baby. Sound familiar? Yes, because that baby would be Tarzan.

3. Aladdin takes place in the future

Despite everything indicating that the plot of Aladdin takes place in antiquity, some fans suggest that everything takes place in the distant future, more precisely in a post-apocalyptic world.

In the movie, the genie mentions that he spent 10,000 years inside the lamp. And every time the character does his magic and jokes, he references 20th century culture. How could he know everything if he was supposed to have been inside the lamp back then? Proponents of the theory claim that he was out of the bottle during the 20th century, and that all the action in Agrabah takes place at least in the year 11,990 AD.

4. Robin Hood takes place in medieval Zootopia

zootopia shows us a world where humans never existed, and there are only two other Disney films with this feature: robin hood and The Lion King🇧🇷 However, in The Lion King there are primates; already zootopia does not show this type of animal, which is seen as a way to eliminate any evidence of human existence.

Another similarity is that both movies have a difference between predator and prey types. Thus, the universe shown in robin hood could have served as a basis for the future of zootopia🇧🇷

5. Ursula is Ariel’s aunt

When Úrsula appears in the animation for the first time, she says: “In my time, we had fantastic parties, when I lived in the palace🇧🇷 So how could she live in the palace if she wasn’t King Triton’s sister? Although no one knows for sure how Ursula, who was a mermaid, became an octopus, fans have some theses.

Remember the moment when Úrsula transforms into a young woman to prevent Ariel from fulfilling the deal? Perhaps that was her original appearance.

Fans believe that Ursula could not become queen, so she would have decided to obtain power in other ways. For example, marrying some Earth prince. However, the strategy would not have worked. Also, the humans discovered that she was a mermaid and started a hunt, which would have led to the death of Ariel’s mother. Because of this, Triton would have sent Ursula into exile. So angry, the villain would have changed her appearance.

6. Peter Pan is an angel who guides dead children to heaven

Have you ever stopped to think about what makes Neverland’s children stop growing? There are those who claim that this happens because Neverland is not a magical place, but because the children who live there are all already dead. According to these theories, Peter Pan would be an angel in charge of guiding children’s souls to heaven and taking care of them.

The original story on which the film was based even has a line that would prove the theory: “To die will be a tremendously big adventure”.

7. Genius is the merchant

Disney fans didn’t miss the similarities between the merchant who tells the story of Aladdin and the genie in the lamp. Both wear blue clothes with red bands around their waists, have similar eyebrows and a curly beard. Also, they are the only two characters in the plot that have 4 fingers, and both were played by Robin Williams.

For all that, fans suggest that after coming out of the bottle, the genie became a traveler who sells trinkets and is always telling his story. Otherwise, how could he know everything that happened?

8. Snow White Really Died

9. Jane is Belle’s granddaughter

It all starts with the tea set that appears in Tarzan, and which is exactly the same as what we see in Beauty and the Beast🇧🇷 We know that after the curse is broken, everyone reverts to human form, and there was no longer the kettle. However, Belle and Adam may have made a similar kettle as a souvenir. Fans think that since Jane has this family heritage, she would be descended from Belle and Prince Adam.

Look how much Jane and Belle are alike: the shape of the face and brown hair. Also, they wear very similar yellow dresses. Both parents are somewhat strange men, and they both fell in love with savages. Not even the fact that Bela is French and Jane is British confuses the theory’s adherents: the plot of Beauty and the Beast takes place before the French Revolution, and as Belle and Adam are aristocrats, or else their descendants, they could have fled and settled in England.

10. Rapunzel will stay young forever

In Rapunzel, the queen falls ill during her pregnancy and drinks a magic potion based on flowers, which guarantees eternal youth, in order to recover. That’s why Rapunzel was born with hair that grows a lot and that heals people, in addition to preventing aging. However, fans suggest that this would not change entirely after the protagonist’s hair was cut. They think the magic remained within her, which would have caused Rapunzel, at age 18, to stop aging.
