10 Pairs of Movies So Similar That They Raise Suspicions

The film industry is competitive and the search for the love and admiration of the public is something really complicated. A teenage lion named Ryan is sent by accident from the New York Zoo to Africa. His father and a few other animals — a koala, a crocodile, a chameleon, a giraffe and a squirrel — also leave the zoo and head to Africa to find Ryan.

Two great friends, Manolo and Joaquim, fall in love with the same girl, Maria. The gods of the afterlife, Catrina, from the Land of the Remembered, and Xibalba, from the Land of the Forgotten, make a bet to see who will marry the young woman. The intervention leads Manolo, who is with his guitar on a journey after death, to return to his beloved.

A young Mexican named Miguel is raised in a family where music is not welcome. However, he loves this art and plays the guitar in secret. Aladdin is a thief who lives on the streets of Agrabah. One day, he meets Princess Jasmine, the Sultan’s daughter, and falls in love with her. An evil wizard, Jafar, who wants to marry the princess for the throne, imprisons Aladdin and manipulates him into finding the magic lamp. Aladdin finds the lamp and keeps it for himself, earning the right to make three wishes to win Jasmine’s love and save the city.

The Japanese government captures a class of ninth graders, takes them to an island and forces them to play a game. They take a backpack with random things, including food and weapons, and have to kill each other for three days until only one winner remains, who will be released. The youths’ teacher breaks the rules and kills two students to show the seriousness of the situation.

Hunger Games (2012):

A post-apocalyptic world is divided into 12 districts plus a capital. To keep everyone in check, the government holds a televised competition every year in which two teenagers from each of the 12 districts are chosen at random to fight to the death until the last survivor is crowned the winner.
