As in the original plot, the young woman became disillusioned with love, which motivated her to change and lose weight. With her new appearance, she decided to appear in the lives of those who made her suffer and take revenge, under the identity of Victoria de la Garza Montiel.

This youth soap opera showed the life of Lorena, a talented girl, sweet and intelligent, but insecure about herself. She was in love with Eduardo Casablanca, an actor and singer she met during the presentation of her latest album. The girl invented a fanciful relationship with him, until her companions discovered the hoax and began to torment her. Lorena was depressed after this episode, but started to keep in touch with the singer, who decided to help her in her music career.

This production was an adaptation of Betty the ugly, whose protagonist, Leticia, a brilliant professional, did not meet typical beauty standards. Despite this, she started working in a video production company, where she ran into various problems. As the plot progressed, Leticia traveled to Acapulco, where she met a chef who helped her in her transformation into “Aurora Mayer”. She soon had to return to save the producer and decide between the love of two men. The final chapter was one of the most watched among Televisa’s productions.

The plot told the story of an illiterate young woman, who lived with her grandfather in a humble place. Maricruz did not know that her real name was Maria Alejandra Mendoza Olivares and that she was the daughter of Alejandro, a millionaire. The girl had to deal with several problems until she was able to stand out in the company and still solve family difficulties, such as documents for her father, who was an immigrant in the United States. The character evolved on her own, and not out of love, making the plot of the story very different from the one told in the original version.

Kika Edgar played a naive and noble person, who soon turned into a jealous and obsessive woman. The reason was her passion for Jesús, the protagonist of the story, who was really in love with Alma (the protagonist). Despite this, Xóchitl proved to be very talented in her role as “Natasha”.
