10. There are 19 ingredients in McDonald’s fries

In the movie Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, Snow White had the job of taking care of the Seven Dwarfs, but in real life, actress Adriana Caselotti (1916-1997) never went back to work after she lent her voice to the Disney princess. That’s because she signed an exclusive contract with the Mickey Mouse company so that her voice would not appear anywhere else.

1. Disney characters don’t have a mother

Not all of us realize that Walt Disney’s stories center on the death and loss of maternal characters: Bambi’s mother was murdered, Ariel grows up without her mother, and Quasimodo’s is violently murdered early in the film. Cinderella was raised by her stepmother and Snow White was raised by the Evil Queen.

The reason for this was Disney’s grief over his own mother, who died of carbon monoxide poisoning in the house he had bought for her. Her father survived, but she wasn’t so lucky. Guilt followed Walt Disney throughout his life.
