The story focuses on Ben, an eight-year-old boy with a big imagination, and his best friends Angie and Mickey. So Ben is not only able to color and bring everything to life, but also help his family and friends solve problems. This cartoon series had its heyday for the 90’s generation of boys thanks to the Nickelodeon channel. The story is based on this boy with a head shaped like an American football, Arnold, who lives in the suburbs of a city (inspired by New York, Boston or Chicago) as a guest at his grandparents’ house. There, the nine-year-old meets the funniest and most curious personalities. In addition, he surrounds himself with a group of friends. from school, plays baseball and rides a bike, among other boy things.

Arnold’s personality is that of an introspective and friendly boy, who faces great challenges in life. His grandparents, Phil and Gertie, take care of him because his parents went on an exploration trip (his father is a recognized archaeologist) and never came back. Arnold’s grandparents are not only his advisors, but also his accomplices in many situations.

Distributed by DHX Media and PBS, this cartoon is based on the books by writer Christine L’Heureux and illustrator Hélène Desputeaux. Both created the story of a 9-month-old baby called Caillou, who lived many adventures, despite his young age. In the television series, Caillou is a little older, he is 4 years old, but he still has no hair (by the producers’ decision to respect the original illustration). He lives with his parents and a little sister, but in some chapters his grandparents appear.

They are two important characters in the series, as they not only spend time with Caillou, but also get involved in his life: Grandpa is his soccer coach and encourages him to develop his skills, and Grandma is an excellent dancer who encourages him to try some dance moves too. The series promotes the importance of grandparents in their grandchildren’s lives as role models and inspiration.

This is another series that left nostalgia, created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. Although its transmission began in 1991, it remained for more than ten years in the channel’s programming. The cartoon tells the story of a group of babies, whose imagination is as big as it is reckless. The protagonist is Tommy Pickels, who is just one year old and the leader of the group. Tommy lives with his parents and a dog in a house in the suburbs (later his brother Dylan was added to the story).

With them live their grandfather Lou, who is a war veteran, television addict and fan of naps. Most of the time, when he falls asleep, babies take the opportunity to escape the crib and go on an adventure. He is one affectionate, witty and ever patient grandfather, sometimes a little distracted and fanciful. The cartoon, also from Nickelodeon, tells the adventures of the Paw Patrol, made up of six adorable puppies. However, in the city there are also other very important characters, such as Alex and his grandfather, Mr. Porter.

Alex is a child who usually gets into some trouble because of his innocence and restlessness and the puppies help him when he is in danger. His grandfather, Mr. Porter, who owns the restaurant Baía Aventura and is a young, very affectionate grandfather, who generally tries to teach Alex positive things, such as teamwork, effort in daily activities and good manners.

Alex doesn’t always follow the rules, but the pups are always there for him, as are all the townsfolk.

Since 2000, this animated series created by Mattel and distributed by Nickelodeon still continues to run. So, more than two generations have grown up with interactive Dora games. The great success of this series is due to the identification with the Latin American public, since Dora Márquez is of Mexican origin. This has been a very important factor, as her personality is that of a sweet, kind, warm, friendly and extremely affectionate girl.

Animated in 3D, this series is also broadcast on PBS Kids and produced by the Jim Henson Company. Sid is a very curious boy, who is attracted to know the things around him. He always has very original questions and usually answers them with his experiments.

Sid is an intelligent and friendly child, who is generally motivated by his family — parents, siblings and grandmother.
