The late Elke Maravilha was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The artist came to Brazil when she was just six years old, as her family suffered political persecution. She was a huge hit with her wigs and edgy outfits during the 70s and 80s.

Charles Paraventi played a character that marked the soap opera Workout: Professor Afranio. But did you know that he was born in the United States? And it was in New York where his career began, when he was performing magic shows at the age of 5. The actor came to Brazil at the age of 17, entered a theater course in Rio de Janeiro a few years later and the rest is history.
8. Eva Todor: Hungary
Eva Todor was born in 1919 in Budapest, Hungary. Daughter of Hungarian Jews linked to the artistic milieu, the actress ended up moving to Brazil due to financial difficulties that Europe faced in the post-World War I period.
