10 Brazilians who dub characters from Hollywood movies

Like it or not, from time to time, most of us end up watching a movie dubbed in Portuguese. Sometimes the voices dubbed by the actors are better than the originals, and vice versa. Dubbing was born in 1927, with the film O jazz singer🇧🇷 In Brazil, many voice actors have become stars and even have a fan club.

Isaac Bardavid is one of the biggest names in dubbing in Brazil. He became famous for voicing Logan, the mutant played by actor Hugh Jackman since 1994. In a rare meeting between actor and voice actor, in 2017, Hugh Jackman was impressed by the voice of the voice actor and paid tribute to Bardavid.

About to turn 100 years old, Orlando Drummond is best known by Brazilians for the character “your turkey”, in the extinct “Professor Raimundo’s School🇧🇷 In cinema, among others, he gave voice to Gandalf, a character played by actor Ian McKellen in the “Lord of the Rings” saga. He was already a dubbing icon long before, having voiced children’s characters such as “Popeye” and “Al the Stubborn”, that he became a legend in the medium. Drummond entered the Guinness Book for having voiced Scooby-Doo for 35 years.

Marcio Seixas is one of the most experienced Brazilian voice actors. Among other famous actors, he has voiced several characters by actor and comedian Leslie Nielsen and Spock from Star Trek. One of the most striking voiceovers was that of actor Sean Connery, who played the character Allan Quatermain in “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”

Marco Ribeiro has voiced over 20 famous Hollywood actors, such as Antonio Banderas, Jamie Foxx, Keanu Reeves, Will Smith and Kevin Bacon. However, he has been voicing the roles of Jim Carrey, Tom Hanks and all appearances of the character. Iron Man made by Robert Downey Jr. is that he became better known among those who admire voiceovers.

The Brazilian voice of some of the main heartthrobs of cinemas, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Johnny Depp is by Marco Antonio Costa. He also acted in several children’s cartoons, giving voice to characters from Toy Story and Woodpecker🇧🇷 Fun fact: he also works as a doctor. Women, imagine being attended to by Brad Pitt or George Clooney. Not bad 😉

Among the more than 50 movie stars voiced by Garcia Júnior are several actors who have played roles in action films, such as Dolph Lundgren, Denzel Washington, Daniel Craig in the franchise films. 007 wrestlers Bruce Lee and Jean-Claude Van Damme. However, his most outstanding voiceovers are the roles played by the brute Arnold Schwarzenegger and the animation He-Man.

Cecilia Lemes has voiced stars such as Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Julianne Moore. However, she is best known for playing the character Chiquinha, from the series Keys🇧🇷
