10 Brazilian actors who seem to have been born for certain characters

Have you ever noticed that some actresses and actors are ideal for playing certain types of characters? There are those who are the face of the father who protects the family in every way; or the powerful businessman who wants to achieve his goals at any cost. Still, there is the one that seems to have been born to represent the woman who is always the most elegant in the place. They do these roles so well that they are usually the first choice to repeat their success in other productions.

O awesome.club noticed this talent that certain artists have and made a list of some of the most iconic on Brazilian TV. Check out!

Carolina Ferraz — The rich woman

“I’m richeeeeee”. This phrase defines well the style of character that Carolina usually represents. In addition to the protagonist of this meme, Norma, from Beleza Pura, the actress also gave life to:

Paula, from História de Amor; Milena, in Por Amor; Vanessa, in the telenovela Estrela-Guia; Rebeca, in Belíssima; and many others.

The (almost) exception was in Avenida Brasil, where Alexia played, a socialite who is evicted from her apartment and has to live in the suburbs.

Humberto Martins — The businessman

At the beginning of his career, Humberto had the profile of a hard worker, but he was reliable and a heartthrob. However, as time went on, he was increasingly called upon to bring the powerful businessman to life. He lived this type in:

Caminho das Índias, like Ramiro; America, with Laertes; as Germano, from Totalmente Demais; and playing Eurico, in A Força do Querer.

You can’t deny that this role fits him well, right?

Tony Ramos — The foreigner

The actor seems to be a constant option for soap opera authors to represent foreigners. He has played characters from other countries in six works:

Dominguinhos, the Portuguese from Guerra dos Sexos; the American Percival, from Mad Maria; the Cuban Manolo, in As Filhas da Mãe; Nikos, the Greek from Belíssima; the Indian Opash, from Caminho das Índias; and the Italian Totó, from Passione .

Marcos Pasquim — The shirtless heartthrob

The actor was very successful on TV in the 90s thanks to this type of role, the strong guy who only lives without a shirt and tries to protect everyone from harm. Just to name a few, this was the recipe used in:

Uga Uga, with Van Damme; O Quinto dos Infernos, as D. Pedro I; Esteban Maroto, in Kubanacan; Lance, in Pé na Jaca; and as Pedro Guerra, in Guerra e Paz.

This type of character worked so well that it marked the television memories of an entire generation and became a certain cliché, reproduced even in the soap opera Verão 90, which honored the decade.

Antônio Fagundes — The oldest love

Tato Gabus Mendes — The working father

It’s the face of that father who works a lot and doesn’t have time to pay attention to the family. Usually, he has conflicts with one of the offspring or even with his wife. You must have already seen a character represented by Tato Gabus who had this story, after all, he already lived this type in:

O Astro, as Amin Hayalla; Páginas da Vida, when he made Leandro; A Lei do Amor, as Olavo; Cheias de Charme, when he gave life to Ernani; Sangue Bom, as Cardoso.

Despite many other different roles, this type of character is very convincing when played by the actor and he has certainly moved many people across the country.

Gabriela Duarte — The good girl who suffers

Just like her mother, Regina Duarte, the actress also portrays calm, very good women who are going through a problem, usually with regard to motherhood. That’s right, Gabriela has lived at least three characters that involved this specific theme.

See some of the girls represented by her (the last three faced difficulties in pregnancy):

Ritinha, from Irmãos Coragem; Miriam, in Sete Pecados; Maria Eduarda, from Por Amor; Simone, from América; and Luana, Amor à Vida.

Christiane Torloni — The elegant

Being a villain or not, a hallmark of her characters is that they are often very chic and super-elegant women. Whether with Indian costumes or in the fashion of the Brazilian hinterland, she does not lose her refinement and always keeps herself impeccable. We saw all this charm in:

Tereza Cristina, from Fina Estampa; Melissa, in Caminho das Índias; Iolanda, in the soap opera Velho Chico; Maria Alonso, in Amazônia; and Haydée, from América.

One of the exceptions was in Cara e Coroa, when she appeared less than elegant in the role of Vivi, a suffering woman who takes the place of her doppelganger, Fernanda, played by Christiane herself.

Malvino Salvador — The good-hearted brute

Malvino Salvador, on the other hand, plays the strong, rude type who usually does work with his hands. Despite this, he is always a good, honest person who does everything to protect his family. We saw the actor in this type of character as:

Vitório, in Alma Gêmea; Régis, from Sete Pecados; Damião, in A Favorita; Gabriel, from Caras & Bocas; Agno, in A Dona do Pedaço.

Isis Valverde — The dreamy girl with a strong personality

Isis played some dreamy and spirited young women, who have big ambitions and use their charm in their favor to achieve their goals. Despite this, these characters are more naive than evil and really want to find a love to call their own.

The actress lived this role as:

Rakelly, from Pure Beauty; Suellen, in Avenida Brasil; Ritinha, from A Força do Querer; Camilla, in Caminho das Índias.
