10 Actresses and actors who started their career in Malhação and are still on the rise today

Nowadays, we see a lot of actors and actresses that we’ve known for a long time, but we don’t even remember their origins on Brazilian television. Some of them started in the soap opera that had its first season in 1995: Malhação; known as the gateway to the station’s new stars.

O awesome.club brought a compilation of 10 of these stars to help you remember those television origins. And at the end of the post we have a bonus special for you with, perhaps, the most iconic character of this soap opera so loved by the public. Check it out!

Thiago’s debut on TV was in 1997, playing the swimming teacher Lucas Melo, known as Lula, in Malhação. Since then, he has gotten roles on the network in other soap operas, such as Hilda Furacão, Terra Nostra, Celebridade, América, Alto Astral and many others.

Débora began her television career in 1998. She played the character Antônia Valim in the fifth season of Malhação. After that, she worked at SBT, in Chiquititas, before returning to Globo for other iconic roles in the soap operas O Clone, Avenida Brasil and the miniseries JK.

Our eternal MauMau appeared in the ninth season of Malhação, in 2002. After that, his rising career put him in great soap operas such as Da Cor do Pecado, Como uma Onda, Belíssima and Avenida Brasil.

José started in Malhação playing the skateboarder Marcão for two seasons. Then he worked on other soap operas of the house, such as Avenida Brasil, Boogie Oogie and O Sétimo Guardião. He also participated as a judge on the show Amor & Sexo for six seasons.

Fernanda started as an extra for the program Fantasia and later worked as a dancer for Domingo Legal. It was in 2005, in the twelfth season of Malhação, that she got her first television role as Betina Sorrento, aka Tina. After that, she was present in the casts of Páginas da Vida, Tempos Modernos, Sangue Bom, Haja Coração and more.

Winner of “Concurso Casal Malhação”, produced by Caldeirão do Huck, which was looking for new talents to join the house, Caio joined the cast of Malhação as Bruno Oliveira Guimarães where he stayed for three seasons. After that, the new darling of the station participated in soap operas such as Ti Ti Ti, Fina Estampa, Amor à Vida, Novo Mundo and A Dona do Pedaço.

Fiorella even hosted the show Rolé on SporTV before starting her acting career. In 2007, she joined the cast of Malhação as Vivian Pimenta. After that, she made special appearances in several soap operas of the network, to then get her fixed role as Velna in the program Vai que Cola, shown by Multishow, alongside other big names such as Paulo Gustavo, Marcus Majella and Samantha Schmütz.

Klebber started in Malhação playing Mateus Molina, in the fourteenth season of the telenovela. After that, he had roles in Morde & Assopra, Lado a Lado, Império, Verão 90, among others.

One of the most recent hits produced by the telenovela, Rafael played the lively Pedro Ramos in the twenty-second season. After the success, he joined the cast of the soap opera Rock Story and Verão 90. He is currently engaged to presenter, actress and comedian Tatá Werneck, with whom he is expecting a daughter.

Marcos attended dental school for three years before dedicating himself to an acting career. It was in 2006 that he started in Malhação in the role of Roger Roma, Siri. He stayed on the soap opera for two years, in the thirteenth and fourteenth seasons. After that, he started working for RecordTV before returning to Globo in roles in the soap operas Haja Coração and Pride e Paixão.

We also have the iconic Mocotó, played by André Marques, from the first to the third season of the novel, then returning at the end of the fourth and staying until the middle of the sixth season. Not being enough, in the twentieth season of the soap opera, he returns to play his great and eternal role.
