10 Actors Who Successfully Predicted Their Future Movie Roles Show Us That Dreams Come True

We all have dreams, such as certain jobs, ideal homes or goals for our family and future life. And our favorite actors are no different. Many have shared what their dream roles were, saying years before they landed how much they would love to play such a character. So they prove to us that when you manifest your dreams, they can come true.

In a 2013 red carpet interview, Tom Holland said he would like to play Spider-Man “in 10 years”. He didn’t even have to wait that long – in 2016 he appeared for the first time in the role in Captain America: Civil War. This was not his only statement predicting the future, as it also revealed that his video game favorite was Uncharted (later starring in the film adaptation) and that he had a crush on Zendaya (his current girlfriend).

In 2011, pop sensation Ariana Grande tweeted that Glinda in Malvadas was the role of his dreams, after having seen the show on stage. In 2021, they announced that Ariana’s dream would come true. She was cast as Glinda in the film adaptation of the hit musical.

In 2018, Simu Liu tweeted at Marvel specifically asking if they could talk about Shang Chi. A year later, the announcement was made. The actor had landed the title role in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Keke Palmer is very excited about her favorite TV series. Hence, when she posted about her excitement for Insecure season 5, fans thought she was going to be in it. She tweeted the error to series creator and star Issa Rae, and it worked! A year later, she landed a role.

The Amor, Sublime Amor star shared a photo of herself as ariel in her own high school production of The Little Mermaid in 2017, with the caption, “I want to be a real Disney princess.” Just a few years later, her dream of becoming a princess came true. Rachel will play Snow White in Disney’s live-action remake of the classic fairy tale.

Barry Keoghan tweeted to Stan Lee in 2013 asking him to “please” turn him into a superhero. Years later, Keoghan managed to get his wish. He’s in Marvel’s Eternals, playing a superhuman character. Good things come to those who wait!

At age 7, Emma Roberts wore a Scream mask. This turned out to be a foreshadowing moment, as the actress actually had a role in Scream 4 in 2011.

When the musical was announced on Broadway in 2022, she was cast in the role. She reflected on this on her Instagram, saying that sometimes dreams really do come true.
