Woman shares a thank you note to the man who read her ‘body language’ and saved her

A survey says that 61% of women take some measure to stay safe in public and around 50% are afraid to go home at night. However, they’re not completely alone out there, and we mean that in the best possible sense. Sometimes help in a dire situation can come from a complete stranger, and our story will prove just that.

A Reddit user shared an experience she had on the subway when a man chased her. She said a strange-looking guy stood right behind her for six minutes while she was waiting for the train and made unwanted advances, calling her “hottie” and generally upsetting her. He followed her on the train and stood right next to her, which sent her anxiety levels to an all-time high.

She couldn’t sit still and tried to blend in with the other passengers, hoping the guy would leave her alone; and at that time a miracle happened. Another man turned to her and said, “Hello, Lauren. Are you going to Jeff’s party too?” Her name wasn’t Lauren and she had no idea who this man was.

After about ten seconds, she realized what he was doing. The man continued to act friendly and suggested they get off at the same station and walk to the “party” together. But her kindness didn’t end there.

The man in question pretended he received a message and showed it to the distressed woman. In fact, he had written a text message on her phone, asking if she was in danger. She quietly revealed that a scary guy was following her. The man then decided to keep her company so that she would feel safe. He even accompanied her to her friend’s house, even though the station he was supposed to get off at was completely different.

The woman says her stalker quickly disappeared after seeing her with the man, whom she now considers her “guardian angel”.
