We reviewed Jô Soares’ interviews and selected the 15 best ones to kill the nostalgia

José Eugênio Soares is the full name of a brilliant presenter, comedian, writer, playwright, musician, theater director and actor. We are talking about Jô Soares, who has already conducted more than 14,000 interviews during his career on television. Jô presented “Jô Soares Onze e Meia” on SBT for 11 years. And over another 16 years, he played the “Programa do Jô”, on Globo. In 2016, he aired his last TV show — more on that later.

It was not an easy task for the awesome.club select the most remarkable interviews with several celebrities from Jô’s trajectory. But we compiled the top 15 and picked out the curiosities of each conversation to quell the nostalgia of the “fat man’s kiss”. The Formula 1 driver gave an interview to the program “Jô Soares Onze e Meia”. He revealed several technical secrets behind the scenes of the races and told what the biggest struggle he had ever gone through on the tracks. The band Mamonas Assassinas was at the beginning of its career, still recording its first album, when it presented the songs Vira-Vira and Robocop Gay in “Jô Soares Onze e Meia”. Dinho, lead singer of the group, showed his gift of imitating celebrities. The first appearance on TV of the comedian Fábio Porchat was precisely on “Programa do Jô”, still at the age of 18. From the auditorium, he sent a note to the presenter, who invited him to the stage. After becoming famous, the comedian invited, 16 years later, Jô Soares to participate in the “Programa do Porchat”. Already on Globo, the presenter repeated the invitation a few times and Xuxa, when occupying the sofa, commented on her family, the origin of her artistic name and revealed her peculiar tastes for burnt food and salad with soup. Talk goes, talk comes, Faustão said he was a reporter, field announcer for several years and altar boy. Can you imagine? And he talked a little bit about the stomach reduction surgery he had. The program aired for the first time on April 7, 2000. Jô Soares repeated this edition shortly after the death of dear Hebe Camargo, who left us on September 29, 2012, as a tribute to her friend. On a trip to Brazil to launch her book celebrating her 30-year career, model Naomi Campbell was interviewed by Jô Soares. During the interview with the presenter, the former player spoke about the backstage of his career, in addition to his experience in Europe. Ronaldo Fenômeno was invited by the presenter for a chat right after the 1998 World Cup. In 2009, Jô Soares interviewed the player, who was almost at the end of his career, and recalled Ronaldo’s passage and his goals at Corinthians. In the interview given to Jô in 2011, Gal Costa revealed that when he met Caetano Veloso, “there was a climate”. They commented on how the idea of ​​recording together came about.
