The video of a tuna that died after colliding heavily with the containment glass of the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, in Japan, went viral on the internet this week. The reason for the accident would have been the photographic flashes that left the fish stunned.

In the footage that generated debate, it is possible to see several flashes being fired in front of the aquarium with several species of fish, including a huge whale shark.
According to experts, the tuna can reach 70 kilometers per hour and would have swam at high speed until reaching the containment glass. The fish died at the time of the accident.

Most aquariums do not allow the use of on-site flashes. However, the tourist spot where this situation occurred, the use is still released.
