Tomás Gómez's Extremaduran girlfriend

A romantic relationship that has only been around for a few months and that both have kept the greatest of secrets. She is not surprised by Gómez, who is known in the Socialist Group of Madrid as “the hermetic”, so jealous of safeguarding his private life that it borders on obsession.

When Tomás Gómez became mayor of the Madrid town of Parla in 1999 with a more than comfortable majority, he already had one of those lifelong girlfriends. He married shortly after, but that lasted only a few years. He separated, without children, and his party colleagues did not find out. Absolute discretion, which from now on will be much more difficult to maintain.

Eva María Pérez arrived at the Assembly of the Community of Extremadura as an ordinary deputy, at only 27 years old, she was the girlfriend of one of the main advisors of the once all-powerful president of Extremadura, Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra. Eva María Pérez is considered to be a tireless worker and an Education Minister with good records (Extremadura's educational statistics are by no means the worst in Spain despite its very low investment per student). She is from Salamanca, she graduated in Political Science and Sociology and is a member of the federal committee of the PSOE, an area in which she most likely met Tomás Gómez.

Because we don't know, we don't even know where the socialist candidate lives. Some say that he maintains an apartment in Parla (at least he is registered there), others that he does so in a nearby town, although already in the province of Toledo. His name is Carranque and he occupies a two-story chalet.

Tomás Gómez and Eva María Pérez have been frequently seen in Valverde del Fresno, a town in Cáceres whose mayor is her sister. Town with an open field where the couple can use Tomás Gómez's motorcycle at their discretion, who stays in shape thanks to his daily visit to a gym in Parla, before or after his Economics classes at the Carlos III University.
