The story of Laura Pausini who, after a long wait, became a mother and shouted to the whole world

Being a mother is probably the dream of many women. The miracle of bringing a child into the world can be an adventure with many challenges, learnings and rewards. However, sometimes it takes a little longer to happen. This was the case of Laura Pausini who, after difficult years of waiting, decided to adopt and became pregnant.

At the awesome.club Today we tell you the maternity story of singer Laura Pausini, which proved: when you want something with your heart, your wish comes true.

Always knew what your path in life was

She was born on May 16, 1974, near Bologna, Italy, and her life had a before and after of the famous San Remo festival in which, at just 18 years old, she became the youngest winner of said event. That was just the beginning of his brilliant career as an international artist, selling more than 70 million records.

Although she has kept details of her life under wraps, during an interview with Spaniard Risto Mejide on his Chester show, she opened her heart. Her life plans did not include becoming a singer, an international star: “I didn’t dream of having a career, being famous, I wasn’t interested in anything, I wanted to have a child and be an architect. I never dreamed of fame. Participating in the San Remo Festival was more my father’s dream than mine. It brought us together a lot,” she revealed.

The years passed and the pregnancy seemed more and more distant.

Time passed and the pregnancy did not happen. “I came to believe that I couldn’t be a mother, it was a very big shock. I’ve waited too long. For five years, my partner and I — musician and producer Paolo Carta — tried. At that moment, he told me ‘it’s not going to happen’, and I blamed my work, ‘why did you give me fame, if that doesn’t interest me?’ I wanted something else,” he said.

When you wish with your heart, sooner or later it happens

At one point, the singer thought about adopting. “It is perhaps the most difficult consideration of my entire life… it is a good deed, but are you really capable of doing it? Not everyone can. I always thought of myself as a good person, who likes to be with children… But when it came time to adopt, I was very afraid. Will I be able to raise someone who is not my child?”, she wondered. Finally, the big news arrived. “The moment I seriously thought about adopting, I got pregnant.”

“My mother lost three children before my birth. When she got pregnant with me, they sent her to bed for nine months. I was very afraid of losing her during the whole pregnancy, but on February 8, 2013, when Paola was born, seeing her little face was a very beautiful thing ”, she confessed with emotion.

For Laura, the birth of her daughter made her rethink many things, not only personally, but professionally as well. “She motivates me to do things. Until my daughter was born, I had never made songs that didn’t speak about me. It’s such a longed-for arrival that I’ve waited a long time. I hope when I grow up to say I’m a good person, that’s what my parents taught me,” she added.
