The incredible story that Arnold Schwarzenegger told on Instagram

Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian who surprised the world as a bodybuilder and won the Mr. Olympia for 6 years in a row. Furthermore, he is an actor, businessman, and politician. Although he achieved everything he ever wanted, when we look at his photos and his fame, we can’t imagine that the road to success was very difficult and full of complications.

In today’s post, the awesome.club brings the story that the actor himself shared with his followers on Instagram.

Life looks the same for everyone, but sometimes it can be different for some at some point.

“Here’s a little flashback. I grew up without running water, so I didn’t know what a shower was until I was 15, when I joined the gym. This object and a small towel were used for bathing. My brother and I would go to the well to fetch water for our house and then we would all clean ourselves up: first my mother, then my father, then my brother and finally me. The water was a little dirty when it was our turn, but my brother and I never wanted to go back to the well. Contains memories from your childhood that help you remember how far you’ve come.”

Arnold grew up in a place called Thal

This is the house where he lived. It has been renovated and now houses a museum.

As he recalled that story with his followers, he invited other users to tell their own stories that, he concluded, “help remind you how far you’ve come.” This house without a water system is not what it used to be, as nowadays there is a museum that is very popular with fans from all over the world. The first floor has been transformed into a replica of what was his office as Governor of California; the second floor is a replica of the spaces where he trained; some rooms were in charge of showing his most famous films.

Would you fight for your dreams to the point of not measuring the consequences of your actions? This is what Arnold Schwarzenegger did

The 1960s had just begun and young Arnold, then only 15 years old, rebelled against his father, Gustav Schwarzenegger, an imposing man with conservative ideas and ties to Nazism. He decided to pursue his goal of getting stronger and take up bodybuilding. He worked hard on the idea and left the military in 1965 to participate in the Mr. Europe. As punishment, he was locked up for a week. He would win the contest in the junior category, kickstarting his career and the other goals he would later strive to achieve.

“The title of Mr. Universe was my ticket to America, the land of opportunity, where I could become a star and get rich.”

He risked some things that maybe most of us, out of fear, wouldn’t try. Arnold wrote monthly columns for major bodybuilding magazines, played roles without any preparation, and got to act in politics in a country that was not his. Some people think the actor never stopped to think about what he was doing; however, the results show the opposite.

Not giving up and continuing to work is what made him the man he is today.

He made his way into the world of bodybuilding in such a way that a competition called The Arnold Classic is now held annually. Afterwards, he decided he wanted to be an actor. Despite the language barrier, he managed and reached the point of being one of the highest paid actors in the 80s and 90s. Although his career did not take off, he returned in 2012 with the film The expendables 2 and in 2015 with Terminator: Genesis. Regarding politics, we cannot say that he has not been successful. Arnold was elected Governor of California on October 7, 2003 and re-elected on November 7, 2006. Terminator🇧🇷

An interesting fact is that his first role had a particular element. In Hercules in New York, his character was dubbed, as his accent was still very strong. However, this was done in post-production. In his period of adaptation to English, he acted in The Dangerous Goodbyeplaying the role of a deaf-mute and did not even appear in the film’s credits.

“The beginning was very difficult for me. People on auditions told me that my body was too weird, that I had a really funny accent, and that my name was too big. I was told I had to change it. Wherever I performed, they told me I wouldn’t have the opportunity.”
