All about its history

The origin of the Green Tara is a bit dispersed, many even claim that it is obscure, although the vast majority of Bodhisattvas are of contradictory past. But this is not a problem because they consider that this generates greater virtue.

In one of the many stories that are told within that belief, “the man who looks down”, he realized that in the world there were multiple people suffering in different stages of life, such as in old age, when one is born, when you die and when you are sick.

He observed people who were constantly suffering when they had something they did not want or, on the contrary, suffering when they needed something they could not get. He also saw human beings in search of happiness but who themselves were generators of suffering.

He invested a lot of his energy trying to help all those people who were going through such bad times, but even so there were still many who suffered, so he started to cry, his tears were so many that a lake was created, being the quintessence of compassion.

From here a lotus sprouted which finally was a person (female) of sixteen years old, which is what we know as The Green Tara.
