In the Spiritist Doctrine we are used to hearing about the law of Cause and effect. And it is because of this that we end up, many times, confusing this law with the consequence that is the Action and Reaction that occurs in human life. And although one depends on the other, they are different things!

The difference between Cause and Effect vs Action and Reaction

THE Cause and Effect is a law that works for all humans, as we have the freedom to make our own choices. That is, this is a consequence of Free Will. already the Action and Reaction is the representation of our behaviorthe result under this law.

The example to explain this is that:

When we have the Action of doing something for the other – which is our choice, because we are free to choose whether to do something or not, linking it to the Cause – we will automatically have to accept the Reaction of our attitude – which is linked to the Effect that will have in our life.

It may look the same, but it’s not!

One is linked to the other, because the Action only happens after a choice, which will generate the Cause of the event. Now the Reaction will appear during the Effect of consequences, do you understand?

One is connected with the other and it doesn’t matter if our attitude is connected to something good or bad for the next. It will happen anyway. And it’s life that will return us in the same intensity, and it doesn’t have to come from the same person we acted on, it can happen to come back to you in a completely different situation.

The truth is that life is only going to make us accept the consequences for what we have already lived.

The Cause and Effect of Reincarnation

The law of Cause and Effect can arise at any time in our life with the aim of making us teach and improve our previous failures.

It may be that in a single lifetime we have not been able to understand all that we should have learned. After all, human laws are not always able to punish the faults committed by men. So, as God wants all his children to be evolved, he makes life itself punish him. Creating the law of Cause and Effect with Action and Reaction, giving the opportunity for reincarnation so that the human being has the chance to advance, even if it is in another life.

It’s like it’s another chance to live, put into practice everything we’ve been taught and learn things we didn’t have the potential to understand in previous lives.

In this way, when we can assimilate everything that we were supposed to understand in the past, we will finally be able to transform our lives.

The law of Cause and Effect and the family

The greatest lesson we will learn in life is love. That’s why loving your neighbor is one of the reasons for the existence of the Cause and Effect law.

But how does life teach us this?

In addition to putting us in various situations during our lives in which we learn to have compassion and love for others, our greatest lesson begins at home. This is because it is believed that the law of Cause and Effect influences the formation of the family.

It all starts when in past lives two spirits had disagreements and started to hate each other. To put an end to this, the Cause and Effect law puts both of them to be of the same family. That’s why it’s possible to notice that in some families two people hate each other a lot for no apparent reason.

Many times life has prepared for the two to be close to each other so that they learn to love each other. And what better place than your own family? After all, like it or not, this is a strong bond that unites people. Because they will have to live together for a while and in a way, with all the flaws, we end up learning to love those who are by our side, making the problems of previous lives end.

Is there collective punishment under the Cause and Effect law?

Today’s society goes through some problems that we don’t understand very well how they happened. But the law of Cause and Effect explains that we are only paying for the mistakes of our ancestors. Thus, these situations of losses that we live in today are a way of learning from the failures that happened in the past society.

In the course of what we accomplished and learned from our past mistakes, it was so that our society was each day moving towards an evolution. But unfortunately the human being is bad. We don’t know how to help or love the other, and that’s what holds us back and prevents us from progressing.

That’s why we keep making mistakes, and with each passing day we face greater and more severe consequences with humanity. This is the case that we are experiencing so much corruption, unemployment and violence in today’s society.

We cannot blame the past society, but understand that this is the result of our own ambitions and pettiness that comes with the human being from the day of birth.
