Whoever dies with him will not suffer the destruction of eternal fire. It is a sign of salvation, defense in danger, a covenant of peace and an eternal pact with God.”.

After that, they made a miniature of the scapular used by monks, for lay people to use as well. This adaptation had two squares of fabric connected by a string.
