Reach us with the graces we need to live our lives well, with love, health, peace and joy.”

For this reason, in the midst of all his sufferings, he was happy, because he felt supported by your presence. 2nd day: “God our Father, Saint Gerard shows us that his project of love for us is much better than we dared to imagine. Look at our needs, but help us to give ourselves completely to You, accepting Your will for us and our brothers. We humbly present what we want from you, but we also embrace what you want from us. May we know how to take care not only of our interests, but also of yours, following the example of São Geraldo. Through Christ, Our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen!”

3rd day: “God our Father, Saint Gerard was a worker and announcer of your Kingdom. As a Christian and religious, he chose poverty and the poor, just like your son. May we make our work a place of personal sanctification. And let us not forget those who suffer. Let us know how to build your Kingdom in solidarity with everyone. And may our sufferings open our hearts to your goodness and mercy. Through Jesus Christ, your Son, in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen!”

4th day: “God our Father, we learned from Saint Gerard to love the Eucharist. She teaches us to love Christ in our brothers and sisters. May, through our participation in the Eucharist, our hearts be transformed, filled with charity and benevolence, so that we love our brothers as His Son himself taught us. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen!”

5th day: “Lord Jesus, when we open ourselves to your grace, suffering purifies us and reveals what is essential to us. Our transformation comes from our openness to your will when we suffer. Our fragility creates the space for your action. Our people are suffering and many people have to face “inevitable hardships”. The life of Saint Gerard helps us understand suffering as a configuration for You. May your grace teach us to suffer and to show solidarity with those who suffer more than us. This is what we ask of you, through the intercession of Saint Gerard. Amen!”

6th day: “Lord God and Father, Saint Gerard teaches us that to be a missionary it is necessary to go on a mission, but the most important thing is to live the Gospel and bear witness to Christ. He teaches us that allowing oneself to be transformed by Christ is the first requirement to be a good missionary, because in this way the missionary will announce what he himself has experienced. Through the intercession of Saint Gerard, we ask you: help us to rediscover the foundation of our missionary vocation, which is our inner adherence to Christ and his Kingdom. Amen!”

Hear the prayer of your servant Saint Gerard for us, that we may follow his example. This we ask of you through your Son Jesus Christ in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen!”

8th day: “God and Father, help us to love Mary, who loved and served you so much. May she, who knew how to accompany Saint Gerard throughout his life of fidelity to You, also accompany and support us and reach us with the grace of true conversion. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen!”

9th day: “Lord, God and Father, with Geraldo we learned to pray as we should, surrendering our lives to You who know our needs well. You know what’s best for us. Help us, with your grace, so that our life is full. Help us to pray your will for the here and now of our lives. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen!”

Final prayer: “O God, you were the source of Saint Gerard’s joy. Help us to place our hope in you. O God, in You Saint Geraldo found the meaning of his life. Help us to grow in our faith.
