  1. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
  2. Wherefore we shall not fear, though the earth should change, and though the mountains be thrust into the midst of the seas.
  3. Though the waters roar and foam, though the mountains are shaken by their wildness.
  4. There is a river whose currents make the city of God glad, the holy place of the dwellings of the Most High.
  5. God is in her midst; she will not be shaken; God will help you from the break of dawn.
  6. Nations cry, kingdoms are shaken; he lifts up his voice, and the earth melts.
  7. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
  8. Come, behold the works of the Lord, the desolations that he has made in the earth.
  9. He makes wars to cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and cuts the spear; burn the cars on fire.
  10. Be still, and know that I am God; I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth.
  11. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Psalm of Thanks – Psalm 23

  1. The Lord is my shepherd; I will lack nothing.
  2. In green pastures he makes me rest and leads me to calm waters.
  3. Restore my vigor. Guide me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
  4. Even when I walk through a valley of darkness and death, I will fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff protect me.
  5. You prepare a feast for me in the sight of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil and making my cup run over.
  6. I know that goodness and faithfulness will accompany me all the days of my life, and I will return to the house of the Lord as long as I live.

Psalm of Thanks – Psalm 66

We are used to turning to God when we are experiencing difficulties or need to achieve some grace, but it is also very important to stop to appreciate what is good in life.   19. It was he who preserved the life of our soul,
  20. and did not allow our feet to slip,
  21. for you have proved us, O God,
  22. You have polished us like silver.
  23. You let us fall into the noose,
  24. a heavy burden you have placed on our backs.
  25. You put us under the yoke of men,
  26. we passed through fire and water;
  27. but at last you gave us relief.
  28. It is therefore as burnt offerings that I will come into your house,
  29. I will pay the vows I made to you,
  30. vows uttered by my lips,
  31. when I was in tribulation.
  32. I will offer the most beautiful sheep as a burnt offering,
  33. with the fattest sheep;
  34. I will sacrifice bulls and goats.
  35. Come, hear all you who fear the Lord.
  36. I will tell you how great things
  37. God made my soul.
  38. My lips invoked him,
  39. with my tongue I praised him.
  40. If I intended evil in my heart,
  41. the Lord would not have listened to me.
  42. But God heard me;
  43. answered the voice of my supplication.
  44. Blessed be God who did not reject my prayer,
  45. nor withheld his mercy from me.
