Meet Mano Kardashian, an example of Brazilian creativity

The young carioca Wellington Couto is another example of Brazilians who do not face life’s challenges with good humor and creativity. He wasn’t content to be just another bag seller (or ice cream) like those who roam Ipanema beach. Instead, he invented different recipes and gave them unusual names, all linked to the famous Kardashian family. Wellington dreams of being a publicist and providing a better life for his family.

Wellington, better known on Ipanema beach in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro as “Mano Kardashian”, found an idea when he became unemployed. Its differential, as we said, was to give a new look to the açaí ice cream.

His creativity (and his spontaneous manner) made him a famous character on the beach. Each ice cream flavor has a name: those named after her sister, Kylie Jenner, for example, have colored sprinkles in reference to her cosmetics line. Thanks to this different idea, sales, which started with around 20 ice creams (or bags) a day, now reach approximately 100 units.

One of Wellington’s dreams, of course, is to meet the Kardashians in person. The other, going to college for advertising, a way to take advantage of his enormous creative talent.

Ice cream, gelinho, sacolé, chup-chupa…the delicacy has several names across the country. In common, the success it makes in periods of heat, like the current one. Wellington, with his creativity, mixes chocolate, condensed milk, guarana and açaí pulp to make most of his recipes. And there are more other ideas to bring this summer.

And, if he would like to meet the famous sisters in person, part of that dream has already been realized. Khloé, one of the sisters spoke of Wellington’s work on her Twitter profile. “Wow! What a special talent. I love it! It’s so special,” Khloé said. And she’s right about the boy’s creativity. He is an example of willpower.
