Makeup artist gives you tips to look like a real Hollywood star

I’m going to confess a secret to the readers of awesome.club: any of us can repeat the makeup used by Meghan Markle (and the best, in a more economical version). And how to do this, I will tell in the bonus of this post.

Sometimes we buy the wrong shade of foundation for our skin or have that darker foundation used in the summer for when we’re tanned. And in the fall, the tan is already starting to fade and the foundation tone starts to become too dark for our skin. If you don’t want to retire your summer foundation or have to buy a new one because you accidentally got the wrong shade, use a thinner to lighten and get the desired shade. This trick is wonderful and is mainly used when you need to lighten a face that is more tanned than your hands and neck.

I do not advise you to draw eyebrows with a dark colored pencil. It looks artificial and makes you look cheap. Rather, it is better to leave the eyebrows smooth and paint them using the hair technique, carefully filling in the empty spaces and forming a smooth neat line.

Many times, we apply bronzer only on the cheek. The result is that they turn red and make the face look, to say the least, strange. It is better to buy a makeup for contouring: it is he (the contour) that smoothes the lines of the face in a natural way.

It’s impossible to get a more youthful look if you spread the concealer directly under your eyes. This cosmetic should be applied in the “inverted triangle” area (as shown in the photo).

Perfect make-up is unlikely to be done without the following indispensable devices:

Brush for creamy products such as foundation, concealer and even primer;

Powder brush (can also be used for bronzer);

Brush for concealer and shadow;

Brush to smoke;

Sponge (your lifesaver that can quickly remove excess makeup if you overdo it).

I have dark hair, but my eyebrows are very light, almost gray. Therefore, using only a clear gel is not an option for me. As a solution, I use a moisture-resistant gel brow concealer.

This cosmetic product needs to be carefully distributed over the eyebrow, which, after that, must be combed so that the tone spreads and turns into a kind of “veil”. The final step will be the application of a glitter fixing spray, which will make the eyebrow color softer and more natural. The space under each eyebrow needs to be cleaned with a concealer.

Makeup artists know that sometimes skin blemishes need to be neutralized by an opposite shade. For example, the yellow concealer disguises strong dark circles and bruises; green softens the redness caused by pimples and acne marks; purple counteracts unhealthy looking sallow skin and hides brown spots such as freckles and greenish bruises.

I carried out the following survey on my blog “in which direction do you move when applying cream to the eye area?” And I found that almost 70% of girls do it wrong. Movements must be made strictly in the direction of the frown lines (as in the photo).

Firstly, the skin stretches less, and secondly, you use the “beauty points” on the circular muscle of the eye. As a result, you will do a kind of lymphatic drainage massage on the eyelids. Most importantly, remember that your finger movements should be circular, smooth and gliding.

This cosmetic contains synthetic mica microparticles and other minerals. It is used to mask some skin imperfections and creates a smooth, natural glow. By its properties, the highlighter resembles a bronzer, but differs from it in its lightness and transparency, which allows you to get rid of the feeling of a heavy mask on your face.

Here are some simple ways to use it:

Mix it with foundation to get the effect of healthy skin with a delicate glow (as long as you don’t have any breakouts on your skin);

Apply as if it were a highlighter on the cheekbones;

Apply as a base under concealer and soften aggressive dark circles under the eyes;

Apply to the middle of the lips to give an impression of volume.

The color palette for brown, blue and green eyes should be well selected so that your eyes do not look “oily and greasy”. It is better to choose eye shadow with contrasting shades to highlight the color of your eyes.

The image above shows which palette is suitable for each individual case. Of course, you can use “safe” shades (for example, for brown eyes, they will be brown, ocher and copper). But make-up artists believe that makeup should emphasize the color of the eyes, and not create a monochrome effect, and keep everything in one color.

These avoal sponges are special for makeup and very necessary. With their help, the ladies spread the foundation that is applied to the face under the makeup or remove the excess of other products. Of course, sooner or later they will need a good cleaning. My sponges withstand machine washing for 30 minutes at 1200 rpm and then dry in half an hour. By the way, they do not shed ink and do not fade. Instead, they come out looking brand new after washing. Have you tried this?

If you don’t like to wear lipstick because of the look of painted lips, use lip balm. It perfectly moisturizes the lips and gives them a natural, yet bright color. And it doesn’t stick.

To feel like a lady of the royal family, we need:

1. Base with illuminator;

2. Powder with a natural finish;

3. Eyebrow pencil;

4. Eyeliner, brown shadows and mascara that adds volume;

5. Bronzer;

6. Nude color lipstick.

According to my estimates, doing a budget version of the Duchess of Sussex makeup requires the equivalent of £100 using low-cost products. With luxury cosmetics, the job costs around 1125 reais.

Kim is considered the true queen of contouring. She has naturally fluffy eyelashes and pouty lips, which look good in almost any color.

However, there are areas where makeup artists probably need to work seriously to get a good result on your face:

Pigmentation and uneven skin appearance — which are counteracted by a tinted primer; Marked dark circles — masked by a concealer (in her case, light orange); Relatively low forehead — the hairline is corrected (excessive undercuts above the forehead line are removed).
