Lent prayer is recommended for purification and renewal of faith

The 40-day period that begins on Ash Wednesday has great religious importance and is dedicated to preparing for Christian Easter. A Lenten prayer it is part of the ritual, which represents an invitation to spiritual retreat, purification and renewal of faith.

How to make a wish for Lent?

Lent is a time of purification and preparation. Therefore, it is recommended to reflect on different aspects of life so that you can mature and become a better person. Choose a peaceful environment, take deep breaths until you can relax and ask for spiritual cleansing, enlightenment on the path of faith and protection. Thank and end with Lenten prayer.

Prayer for the beginning of Lent

“God, creator of my life, renew me: bring me to a new life in You. Touch me and make me feel whole again. Help me to see Your Love in the Passion, death and Resurrection of Your Son. Help me observe Lent in a way that allows me to celebrate that same Love.

Help me prepare to live these weeks of Lent, as I feel deep sorrow for my sins and Your Eternal Love for me. Holy Father, may Jesus send the Holy Spirit upon me, leading me in this time favorable to a sincere conversion.

I need, Lord, to live the Grace of my Baptism, dying to what is not Yours and living in conformity with Your Will. May Your Word guide me during all the days of this Lenten Retreat. With Fasting, Prayer and industrious Charity, combined with penance, I hope for New Life at Easter! Amen!”

“Lord, today you remind us that we are sinners, inviting us to a radical conversion of our lives. Today you tell us: ‘Convert and believe in the Gospel!’. It is an order to free ourselves from everything that degrades us. Here is the task of Lent on the road to Easter.

Ash is a guarantee of the resurrection of the new man. Ashes. We want to strip ourselves of the hypocrisy that corrodes us: that we know how to seek You and please You in secret.

We want to redo our baptismal choice to arrive at the night of the Easter vigil as new men and women, reborn from Your Spirit. Amen.”

Lenten Prayer for Forgiveness

“My Lord Jesus Christ, God and true man, Creator and Redeemer of mine, because you are who you are, supremely good and worthy of being loved above all things, because I love and esteem you, weigh me, Lord, with all my heart for having offended you; It also weighs on me for having lost heaven and deserved hell, but I propose, with the help of your divine grace, to make amends and no longer offend you, I hope to achieve forgiveness for my sins through your infinite mercy. Amen.”

Prayer for the 40 days of Lent

“Our Father, who art in heaven, during this season of repentance, have mercy on us. With our prayer, our fasting and our good works, transform our selfishness into generosity.

Open our hearts to your word, heal our wounds of sin, help us to do good in this world. May we transform darkness and pain into life and joy. Grant us these things through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.”

Lenten Prayer

“Deliver me, Saint Benedict and Saint Ambrose, from those who wrap arguments in pink paper and hide the green bile of humanity in the package. Deliver me, Saint Benedict and Saint Ambrose, from those who use words collected out of contexts which, if added to those from a spurious context, seem to defend a good cause!

Deliver me, Saint Benedict and Saint Ambrose, from ill-intentioned people without information, and from fools and gullible people who are well-informed because they are so because it is more convenient. Deliver me, Saint Benedict and Saint Ambrose, from fascists with ‘good’ causes, from Nazis with ‘good’ causes, from ‘patriots’ without a cause.
