Keanu Reeves and his girlfriend make a rare public appearance showing a lot of love and complicity

Keanu Reeves and his longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant made their first stylish appearance together in nearly three years of their relationship. The couple attended a benefit for the MOCA Gala 2022 on June 4 at The Geffen Contemporary in Los Angeles. The duo captivated fans with their elegant looks and the couple’s charming photos took the internet by storm.

The much-loved couple turned their red carpet appearance into a special night, as they walked out in style holding hands, laughing together and looking sweetly at each other without holding back their happiness.

For the red carpet night, Reeves rocked a navy blue suit and a brown and blue striped tie, while Grant looked stunning in a simple but elegant red dress with chic halter top detail, paired with a golden Chanel bag and shiny silver sandals.

The Back in the Game star claimed in 2019 that he came to Hollywood to make movies. “I feel very grateful to have had this opportunity, but I’m just a private person and it’s a good thing that this still exists,” he added.

The low-key couple first sparked romance rumors when they attended the Saint Laurent fashion show in June 2019. That same year, the two went public with their romance at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles.

They’ve since gone under the radar but reappeared in October 2020 in Berlin while Reeves was in town to film The Matrix 4 and Grant joined him on set. Later, the couple was seen kissing on romantic nights out on the town.

While it’s unclear when Keanu and Grant’s romantic relationship began, her friend, popular actress Jennifer Tilly, revealed in 2020 that the two have actually been together romantically for years, much longer than fans realize. She also claimed that Grant referred to Keanu as her “boyfriend”. But it wasn’t until 2020 that the couple officially addressed the rumors surrounding their relationship.

Reeves survived a painful past as he grew up with an absent father who was serving time in prison. Furthermore, Reeves’ sister Kim was diagnosed with leukemia in 1991. And to fund leukemia research, the actor donated 70% of his income to The Matrix and even auctioned off a date with himself. It was also hard for him to lose his good friend, actor and musician River Phoenix at the age of 23, in 1993.

Additionally, Reeves and then-ex-girlfriend Jennifer Syme lost a daughter, Ava, who was stillborn in 1999. The couple broke up when the pain became unbearable, but the two maintained their friendship until Jennifer’s untimely death in 2001 in a car accident.
