Journalist Mari Palma moves when she reveals that blind father stands in front of the TV to honor her

Mari Palma shared with her followers the admiration she has for her father, Luiz Palma, who lost his sight 20 years ago. Through her Instagram profile, she details how special this relationship is and how it inspires her to understand life more simply.

She shared that the last time her father had seen her was when she was 10 years old. He doesn’t know how her face changed, her hair. He couldn’t even see how much she’s grown or when she started working in TV.

Still, he made it a habit to stay in front of the TV every day to listen to it. Even if his eyes couldn’t see, his ears are listening for every word.

Walking down the street, she said, they created their own code. He places his hands on her shoulders and, if he has a ladder, she shakes them so he can understand the obstacle.

For her, the experience of growing up with a blind father was challenging and difficult, but it taught her real lessons. It was painful to understand what was happening and why it was happening to him. Sometimes, she cried without knowing what to do and even researched courses to find a cure for his illness.

Eager for an answer or a way to help him, she felt that she had failed. Until the moment when she realized that he was fine and happy. He smiled at everything and everyone and was very happy.
