January Psalm: 4 options to start over with strength and faith

The beginning of the year usually brings a desire for change. Many people make promises and start new habits for a healthier and more balanced life. O january psalm can help bring focus, strength and determination to move forward on the journey.

What is the January psalm?

The first month of the year comes with the energy of a fresh start. Therefore, the psalms that bring strength to the new cycles are the most recommended, such as Psalm 85 (below). But it is believed that reading any psalm has the power to promote spiritual cleansing and open paths. The important thing is that the person pays close attention to the message, keeps faith and is grateful for the help of spirituality.

1. You have blessed your land, O LORD; You brought back the captivity of Jacob.
2. You forgave the iniquity of your people; you covered all their sins. (Saddle.)
3. You have made all your indignation to cease; you have turned away from the fierceness of your anger.
4. Bring us back, O God of our salvation, and cause your wrath to cease from us.
5. Will you always be angry with us? Will you extend your wrath to all generations?
6. Will you not revive us again, so that your people may rejoice in you?
7. Show us, Lord, your mercy, and grant us your salvation.
8. I will listen to what God, the Lord, says; for he will speak peace to his people, and to the saints, so that they will not return to madness.
9. Surely salvation is near to those who fear him, so that glory may dwell in our land.
10. Mercy and truth have met; justice and peace kissed each other.
11. Truth will spring from the earth, and justice will look down from the heavens.
12. The Lord will also give what is good, and our land will yield its fruit.
13. Justice will go before him, and will set us in the path of his steps.

Psalm 66

1. Celebrate God with joy, all lands.
2. Sing the glory of his name; give glory to his praise.
3. Say to God: How tremendous are you in your works! By the greatness of your power your enemies will submit to you.
4. All the inhabitants of the earth will worship you and sing to you; they will sing your name. (Saddle.)
5. Come, and see the works of God: he is tremendous in his deeds toward the children of men.
6. He turned the sea into dry land; they crossed the river on foot; there we rejoice in him.
7. He rules eternally by his power; his eyes are upon the nations; Let the rebels not be exalted. (Saddle.)
8. Bless our God, people, and make the voice of his praise heard,
9. He who sustains our soul with life, and does not allow our feet to be shaken.
10. For you, O God, have tested us; you refined us as silver is refined.
11. You put us in the net; you have afflicted our loins,
12. You made men ride over our heads; we pass through fire and water; but you brought us to a spacious place.
13. I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will pay you my vows,
14. Which my lips spoke, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress.
15. I will offer you fat burnt offerings with the incense of rams; I will offer bulls and kids. (Saddle.)
16. Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he has done to my soul.
17. I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was lifted up by my tongue.
18. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me;
19. But indeed God heard me; he answered the voice of my prayer.
20. Blessed be God, who has not rejected my prayer, nor turned away his mercy from me.

Psalm 103

1. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget any of his benefits.
3. He is the one who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,
4. Who redeems your life from perdition; who crowns you with kindness and mercy,
5. That your mouth is satisfied with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6. The Lord gives justice and judgment to all who are oppressed.
7. He made known his ways to Moses, and his doings to the children of Israel.
8. The Lord is merciful and gracious; longsuffering and abundant in kindness.
9. He will not reprove forever, nor will he retain his anger forever.
10. He did not deal with us according to our sins, nor reward us according to our iniquities.
11. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so is his mercy great toward those who fear him.
12. As the east is far from the west, so he removes our transgressions from us.
13. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
14. For he knows our structure; he remembers that we are dust.
15. As for man, his days are like grass, like a flower of the field, so it blooms.
16. When the wind passes by it, it soon goes away, and its place will no longer be known.
17. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting and to everlasting upon those who fear him, and his righteousness upon children’s children;
18. On those who keep His covenant, and on those who remember His commandments to do them.
19. The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.
20. Bless the Lord, all you angels, you who excel in strength, who keep his commandments, obeying the voice of his word.
21. Bless the Lord, all his armies, you his ministers, who execute his good pleasure.
22. Bless the Lord, all his works, in all the places of his dominion; Bless the Lord, O my soul.

Psalm 126

1. When the LORD brought those who returned to Zion from captivity, we were like those who dream.
2. Then our mouth was filled with laughter and our tongue with singing; Then it was said among the Gentiles: The Lord has done great things for these.
3. The Lord has done great things for us, in which we are glad.
4. Bring us again, O Lord, from captivity, like the streams of water in the south.
5. Those who sow in tears will reap in joy.
6. He who carries the precious seed, walking and weeping, will undoubtedly return with joy, bringing with him his sheaves.
