I tested several apps that modify the appearance and this is the result

We girls sometimes find it difficult to choose the shape of our eyebrows, the haircut, the right shades… Due to the abundance of shades of lipstick on the shelves, we feel lost not knowing which one is the most suitable for us. With the cuts, it seems even more difficult: either we would like to wear bangs or really short hair, among so many other options. but it’s worth
Is it worth taking such a risk? What if you don’t like it and have to wait for years for your hair to grow back?

So I decided to try different makeup, hairstyle and haircuts using popular smartphone apps and shared it with the awesome.club the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.

makeup+

This application allows you to test makeup on an already taken photo, as well as in real time by taking a selfie. In addition to applying cosmetics, it is possible to retouch the image.

The app has pre-packaged, ready-to-use makeup sets that include a certain eyeshadow color, lipstick, eyeliner and brow shape, and the like, plus the option to create your own image step by step.

However, most ready-made kits are too flashy or saturated, so I liked the option to create the image myself. In the example below, the tones don’t go well and there’s too much blush, which makes it look like I’ve messed up.

A step-by-step makeup option, applied to Meghan Markle: here we can see eye shadows, blush and lipstick, soft eyeliner and slightly unified tone.

The app also lets you choose your hair color. Both in the photo and in selfie mode, the hair is dyed well, but you will see very few natural colors in the tool’s arsenal. That’s why MakeUp+ is especially suitable for those who crave bold experiments.

It should be noted that the app paints the lips well and offers many colors in many shades.

The lipstick covers it evenly, even if in the original photo it already has a gloss or a lipstick. It is possible to choose the type (matte, glossy and similar).

Taking Angelina Jolie as an example, I tried the glossy lipstick, the eyeliner, the skin smoothing function and applied a light tone to my face.

YouCamMakeup

With this app, it is also possible to edit an already saved photo and a newly taken selfie. The makeup kits offered by YouCamMakeup seemed very flashy to me, while the tools for creating step-by-step images worked perfectly, helping to create the desired makeup.

The photo even shows the slight changes in the shade of the lipstick or the shape of the eyeliner. The tool offers huge catalogs of patterns and tones for eyelashes, eyeliner, shadows, eyebrows and others.

I tested a very flashy lipstick and an eyeliner with an unusual shape in the photo of Meghan Markle, who usually doesn’t wear very flashy makeup and opts for calm tones.

Editing ready-made photos, lipstick is often applied in a strange way, but in selfie mode you can categorically assess whether a particular tone looks good or not. You can also choose the type of lipstick (matte, glossy or just a gloss).

Another great advantage of this application is hair editing. YouCamMakeup dyes hair even in real time with the front camera on. For a ready-made photo, the color is also applied perfectly (you can adjust the color saturation and brightness of the hair after this coloring process to achieve maximum naturalness). But there are very few natural shades: black and red apply well. While brown and blonde, for example, don’t apply correctly and end up looking quite artificial.

The app also lets you change your hair style: the catalog is huge, you can change the color, length, and shape of the new cut, rotate it to fit your face, and so on. In this way, I could assess whether very short hair would look good on me or not.

In the application, you can first select the type of hairstyle and then also its color.

It’s interesting to see how the natural tones look. What do you think of Meghan Markle blonde?

What about Meghan blonde with short hair?

Well, for experiment fans, the app has several fancy two or three color hairstyles like this one applied to Emma Watson.

YouMakeup

Among its advantages: a wide variety of options for applying shadows and colors, different shades of blush and options for its application, models of eyeliner and eyelashes, many eyebrows of different designs that are superimposed in a very natural way on your real ones.

The application can smooth the tone of the face with a single button, but we also find different shades of foundation in its interface.

In addition, the application has the ability to try on accessories: hats, lenses, jewelry… Not many glasses, but you can easily choose a model that suits your face (especially since it allows you to rotate, increase or decrease the size of the accessory).

I’ve tried several other apps, but almost all of them copy the functions (and sometimes even the entire interface) of the ones described above.

Tell us, have you used tools like these before? If yes, did they help you make your image or dare with a certain haircut?
