How to show your kids that you care about them

How do you show your love? How do your children feel? Life goes by fast, sometimes very, very fast. This includes the madness of getting them off to school and rushing to work in the morning, delegating or being responsible for supervising afternoon chores, which include homework and various extracurricular activities, as well as the late night rush with showers, dinner, etc.

The love for a child is immeasurable and it can be difficult to prove it, but don’t worry: we do incredible.club Here are different ways to simply tell your child how much you love him.

be present

Working 8 hours a day or more, in addition to the endless traffic of big cities, causes absurd stress, we know. We understand that getting home and being at peace is what the body asks for — especially when the end of the week is approaching.

However, spend a little time daily to be with your children. Play with them. This enriches the bond that unites you and develops complicity. Join their games just to share a good time with them and not to turn the situation into a learning activity.

Don’t impose anything, let them lead a game, for example, unlike other subjects, like bedtime, clothes… the game is one of the few moments in which they can make decisions freely. You can also simply be interested in what they do without intervening.

They will appreciate the fact that you are there.🇧🇷 Show interest in their ideas, their tastes.

don’t disrespect them

Children sometimes do mischief for which we immediately think of scolding or punishing them. Expert Moises Chencinksi explains that adults tend to act the way they already know, following the formula of their parents and grandparents.

However, customs change. Avoid belittling or berating your children in front of friends or family. Never speak of them negatively to others, whether in their presence or absence. Keep your promises. Avoid lying and be a good example for children. They absorb everything you do, even if it doesn’t seem like it.

Who likes to be humiliated? Who learns something like that? Who can be happy being treated this way?

Whenever you impose a punishment, clearly state the reason, always maintaining respect. Don’t use words and phrases with your children just because you are responsible for them, especially ones you would never use with other people.

Small daily gestures

Have you ever heard the famous phrase “love is in the small details”?

The smallest daily gestures also remind your little ones that they can count on you. A kiss on the forehead before school, a hug on your return, a word of encouragement tucked into a little note hidden in your lunchbox or notebook. It’s a cute idea — and no work at all. They will love it.

surprise them

Have you ever gone through the situation of buying an expensive toy and your child likes the packaging more? Some kids won’t stop asking, they want everything they see. But that could be a sign: it’s not necessarily about spending a lot of money — kids don’t care how much you spend a month on them.

You can see a package just like a piece of paper and think that the important thing is what’s inside. But for children it is about much more: they see possibilities to give free rein to their imagination and to build different objects. The paper or the box can become a truck, a castle, a car, a rocket — believe me, there are many alternatives.
