How Fabiana Karla overcame her own prejudices to find happiness in life as a couple

This was the case of actress and comedian Fabiana Karla, who got into a relationship with a man 13 years younger and proved to everyone that feelings are stronger than any difficulty faced.

Actress and comedian Fabiana Karla took over the romance with publicist Diogo Mello, in 2018. The announcement was made when the two were photographed together, in the midst of Momo’s revelry. At the time, the actress, who had ended a seven-year marriage in September 2017, commented that the couple was still getting to know each other.

However, not everything was rosy for the two lovebirds and they suffered a lot of criticism, especially due to the age difference and the fact that she already has three grown children. “Most of the comments are from women who talk about the difference in age and body type, but nowadays there are not many. In the beginning, when it was new, I think it caused strangeness and even envy”, she said in an interview.

The marriage proposal took place in 2019 and, in October of the same year, during a birthday tribute made on the stage of the Se Joga program, Diogo decided to reaffirm the statement and again asked the actress for her hand.

Fabiana, 13 years older than her beloved, said that at first she was also affected by him being younger and even wanted to give up. “I ran away from Diogo too much. She thought: ‘Oh, how lazy… What will this fit boy, who only lives to work out, have to talk about?’”, she said in an interview.

However, as time went by, she realized that they both had many things in common. “I was wrong, because he is an elderly man in disguise. I learn a lot from my fiance. Diogo often has more secure and mature attitudes than I do, ”she revealed.

Fabiana and Diogo’s love was sealed in December 2019, in a secret ceremony in Recife, Pernambuco. Only the children and parents of the actress were present. The revelation of the marriage to fans only happened eight months later, and the comedian preferred to remain discreet and not divulge many details of her personal life.

After their wedding, the couple still chose to spend some time in separate homes. While one stayed in one of the houses in Rio de Janeiro, the other was in São Paulo. “When one felt irritated or very stressed, they would take the car and go to the other house, so we always found a way (laughs), which I think has strengthened our relationship even more”, said the actress.

The relationship went through a gap when, in December 2021, the actress issued a statement on her Instagram profile announcing the end of the marriage, which had lasted two years. “Fabiana thanks all the fans for their love and positive energy,” read the message.

However, love proved to be stronger than adversity and just a few months after the end of the relationship, the two met again at the wedding of singer Jojo Todynho and decided to get back together right there. The moment was celebrated with a romantic trip to Paris.

Diogo, who fell in love with his wife on social media after they got back together, said: “This woman speaks French, English, German… Very intelligent, I’m her fan. Brava!”. Fabiana, on the other hand, was not far behind in the declarations of love: “Je suis heureuse à Paris”, which means ‘I am happy in Paris'”.

Recently, when celebrating her husband’s birthday, Fabiana made it clear in a post on her personal Instagram that love has really found its way again. She posted a series of photos of her partner and wished: “May your walk be light, but full of emotions, joy, achievements… May you continue like this, intense, loving, creative, fearless to conquer everything your beautiful heart desires ”.

The two lovebirds are enjoying life together without caring who still criticizes the romance. Including, the actress demonstrated on her social networks to have a great relationship with her stepson.

“I’ll be around and full of love, affection and a lot of fun, just the way he likes with his ‘crazy aunt’. I am very grateful to be able to accompany and participate in its evolution with each passing year”, she wrote as a caption in a photo of the three of them together.
