A Belgian photographer takes pictures of abandoned places across Europe and captures the decaying splendor of a luxurious past.

Photographer Christophe Van De Walle and his wife Isabelle are what you might call true explorers — they both have the hobby explore completely abandoned places. Christophe himself admits that he feels something inexplicable when contemplating the decay, the sounds breaking the silence and the perception of the passage of time in abandoned buildings. Despite this, he keeps the secrets of the places he photographs under lock and key to protect the buildings from the curious.

we, from awesome.club, we were delighted with Christophe’s photographs and believe that the sight of these once so majestic places can indeed be awe-inspiring. Check out!
