8 simple yoga poses that help prevent hair loss

On June 21, the world celebrates the International Day of Yoga. We are all very used to treating this discipline as a physical and mental activity that helps us relax, improve resistance, stretch and improve the general state of our health. But what few people know is that yoga is also a powerful ally to prevent hair loss, as the practice reduces stress and positively influences blood circulation. Who guarantees it is the Yoga Institute, an institution with more than 100 years based in India.

Thousands of people face the drama of hair loss because of stress, because they lead an unhealthy lifestyle or for other reasons. If you are among those people who struggle with this problem, why not try some yoga poses as an alternative?

O awesome.club prepared a series with eight postures that can help you in this process. Check it out right now and be sure to read carefully so you don’t hurt your body.

1. Camel posture

the camel posture improves blood circulation of the scalp, helping in the fight against hair loss.

Kneel on a mat with your legs shoulder-width apart. Place your hands at the base of the spine. Push your hips forward and bring your shoulder blades together. Tilt your body back and place your hands on your ankles. Hold the pose and take five breaths.

Finally, inhale and return to the starting position on your knees.

2. Downward facing dog pose

Downward dog pose is inverted and helps to increase blood flow directly to the scalp.

Lie down on your stomach on the mat, with your arms along your sides. Tuck your toes in and lift your hips as shown, bringing your entire body weight onto your legs. Step onto the mat with your heels and try to form an upside-down ‘V’.

Hold this position for one to three minutes. Finally, get down on your knees (always doing everything very slowly, so you don’t get hurt).

3. Posture to release the wind

Start this pose by lying on your back. Bend your knees and bring your legs towards your chest. Close your hands on your knees. While exhaling, bring your knees to your chest. As you inhale, feel the pressure decrease. Then press your knees towards your chest and hold the pose for 12 breath cycles. Do it slowly. Finally, slowly stretch your legs.

4. Sitting clamp

This is another yoga asana that improves oxygen circulation to hair bulbs🇧🇷

Sit on the mat with your legs together and stretched out. Stretch your back and, inhaling, lift your hands up. Exhale and lean your body forward towards your legs. Keep your feet flexed up and hold your toes or ankles.

Hold this asana for 5-20 breaths. Finally, exhale well and sit for a few moments.

5. Candle posture

6. Standing clamp

This is another inverted posture that brings blood to the scalp and offers a good stretch to the body.

Stand on the mat with your feet together. Keep your legs and back straight. Slowly lean your body forward trying to touch your knees with your forehead. Try holding your toes. If this is not possible, stop as long as you can, without straining your joints.

Hold the asana for 1 minute. To finish, slowly return to the starting position.

7. Diamond posture

To begin Diamond Pose, sit back on your heels on top of the mat with your toes behind you. Rest your hands on your legs. The palms can face up or down. Keep your back straight and breathe naturally. Hold the pose for 30 seconds — 1 minute.

8. Corpse posture

Corpse pose is the last asana in the yoga class, mainly because it offers a complete relaxation.

Lie down on the mat. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart, arms at your sides and palms facing up. Relax your body. Breathe naturally and try to ignore the flow of thoughts running through your head. Hold the position for 5-15 minutes.

Finally, bring your knees to your chest and massage your back. If you want, place your hands under your head. Try to stay in this position for a few breaths and use the support of your arms to lift yourself up.
