If you’re a regular viewer of Brazilian soap operas, you’ve probably noticed that several plots reuse different scenarios — outside the studios or not — from previous soap operas. Maybe because the locations are so beautiful that the broadcasters decided to use them again in parallel works, don’t you think?
Therefore, the awesome.club acted like Sherlock Holmes and prepared a compilation with different environments that were used in one (or more) soap operas on Brazilian television. Be sure to check it out!
1. Mother’s Love — A Place in the Sun
Although the production made some adjustments to the scenery, it was still noticeable that it was the same place. Maybe you noticed that Vitória’s house in Amor de Mãe is the same one where Elenice (Um Lugar ao Sol) lived for a few chapters. What happened was that the soap operas were recorded at almost the same time and in a short period of time — for this reason, this and other spaces were reused.
2. Eternal Love Love — Pride and Passion
Turns and turns, some waterfalls appear in soap operas, right? Most of the time, they are used to show something special or nostalgic — which was the case of soap operas that used the Carrancas waterfall in Minas Gerais. By the stones, we can identify that it is the same place in several works, in addition to those already mentioned, such as, The End of the World, A Favorita and Mirror of Life.
3. Rare Jewel — Love of Life
This one is perhaps something similar to Amor de Mãe and Um Lugar ao Sol, as both Joia Rara and Amor à Vida aired at the same time and reused the church setting to record two different weddings. But amazingly, the coincidence was such that both scenes were reproduced on the same day. Sounds like a lie, don’t you agree?
4. Mother’s Love — The More Life, The Better!
Returning to talk about Amor de Mãe — the soap opera had a remarkable overpass during the exhibition and that was once again reused in another soap opera — The More Life, the Better! (in addition to A Place in the Sun). Looks like the backdrops were too good to be used just once.
5. The Other Side of Heaven — Second Sun
Oops! If you thought that only current telenovelas reused the scenarios, you were wrong, as Segundo Sol used the hospital of its predecessor O Outro Lado do Paraíso. The only change in the scene was a change of frames, one ended up in another position and the other deleted. Very noticeable, isn’t it?
6. For Love — Written in the Stars
You must be wondering what the similarity between the scenarios of the soap operas is, but wait a minute and we’ve already told you! Although they were not recorded in the same “set”, they were reproduced in the famous Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro.
7. Family Ties — Foolish Heart
It doesn’t look like the same place in both soap operas, but it is! The scenarios have undergone some changes, but we can see that some details remain the same — including the sofa. Oh! And the most curious thing is that the house (or mansion) really exists, so we know that it was used in Laços de Família and Insensato Coração.
8. Beauty the Ugly — Love of Life
Yet another coincidence that aired just a few years apart — the same house used in A Bela, a Feia, was used as the country home of the villain Aline and her husband César in Amor à Vida. The most curious thing is that a competing broadcaster used the scenario of the other. It’s quite comical, don’t you think?
9. Once Upon a Time — Splendor
The Casa da Ipiranga — or house of the Seven Errors — located in Petrópolis was part of several scenarios of global soap operas, among them are the hits O Direito de Amar, Era Uma Vez and O Esplendor — in addition to several works, such as films and documentaries. In a few clicks, we managed to capture the place and see that, in fact, she was present on the small screens.
