9 Famous logos that challenge the mind with meanings full of details

The most consumed brands seem to have messages to pass on to us and there are often meanings that escape the superficiality of their logos or are even true master’s insights. 1. LG

LG is an example of an acronym that can arouse some curiosity. Although many think that the acronym is the abbreviation of Life’s Good (“life is good”, translated from English to Portuguese), in fact, the name of the company is the union of the companies Lucky Chemical and Goldstar, the initial letter of the companies . Nice, no?

In addition, there is another curiosity. On the logo there is a smiling face and it is precisely this little face that, if you look closely, you might notice an LG inside this stylized image.

2. AVON

Many may think that AVON is an acronym that, if read backwards, represents the word NEW. It’s quite logical, isn’t it? But in fact, the brand is a tribute to Shakespeare’s hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon. That’s because the company’s founder, David McConnell was passionate about literature. When selling books door-to-door, he noticed that perfume samples made by a pharmacist friend started to become popular among his customers.

The current logo refers to the company’s original arches, which existed in the first restaurant founded in Arizona: they were two semicircles, which, according to brothers Mac and Dick, would draw the attention of drivers and their families who passed by the restaurant hungry. The semicircles were adapted and gave rise to the logo, which stretched out, refers to the letter M.

6. LEGO

If you grew up in the 90s, LEGO was a part of your childhood. And that alone is reason to relive good experiences and even play with your children or nephews in the present. Regarding the graphic issue, it is interesting to note that the YouTube logo was updated in 2017. The play button became highlighted, replacing the focus on the word “Tube”. The creators’ idea was to transform the brand’s symbol into a language that was easy for the public to recognize, in addition to being unified and cohesive, talking to the different applications that the platform offers.
