7 Makeup secrets for the most different types of eyes

The eyes are the most visible part of our face and that’s why women attach so much importance to them when applying makeup. Almond-shaped eyes are considered the norm, but there are many ways you can achieve beautiful makeup if your eyes are narrow, bulging, or far apart. Don’t be scared and remember that there is makeup that suits you.

Today the awesome.club will show you how to apply cosmetics the right way to highlight your strengths and hide possible imperfections.

1. Eyes too close together

The eyes are very close to each other if the distance between them is less than the size of an eye. Appropriate make-up manages to distance them visually, also giving them the shape of an almond.

For this, the lines will help you: the upper one should get thicker as it approaches the outer corner, while the lower one should occupy a third of the eyelid, from the outer corner to the inner one. Light shadows should be applied from the inner corner of the eyes to the middle of the eyelid; for the rest of the eyes, use dark shadows. To visually enlarge your eyes, use a mascara that adds volume, or opt for false eyelashes in the outer corners.

2. Sunken eyes

The peculiarity of the eyes of this type is the hidden line of the fold of the upper eyelid, making makeup almost invisible. To make this type of eye more expressive, you need to darken the inner corners of the eyes and make the outer corners lighter. The upper eyelid can be highlighted with the help of marked lines.

So that the upper part of the eyes is not too voluminous, you can highlight the lower eyelid with a pencil of a less saturated tone. Remember that it is important to highlight the eyes themselves and not the area around them, i.e. use matte shadows.

3. Small eyes

We call small eyes those that are proportionately much smaller than other parts of the face; therefore the purpose of makeup is to increase them. To make the eye look bigger, you need to emphasize its central part. For this, use a mascara that adds volume or fake eyelashes, but emphasizes the center more than the outer part.

Visually, dark tones make the eyes look smaller, so it’s important that the makeup line on the upper eyelid is beige or bronze. At the bottom, apply shadows one shade lighter.

4. bulging eyes

The bulging eyes, on the contrary, seem too big for the size of the face. It is possible to make them more harmonious with the help of dark shadows. Deep shades (blue, gray and others) visually reduce the eyes. But they should not be bright, because otherwise they will attract a lot of eyes.

To achieve a greater effect, shadows should be applied to the inner corners of the eyes. The line should not be too flashy. It’s better to smudge it a little so that it blends into the lashes.

5. Eyes with drooping lids

To hide a drooping eyelid, you need to visually lift the outer corners of your eyes. It is possible to do this with the help of a pencil or an eyeliner. It is very important that the lines are well defined in the corners. To achieve a more expressive look, you can use dark shadows on the outer corner of your eyes. Both the shadows and the eyeliner must be blended slightly, so that the makeup does not have such marked divisions (apart from the corners).

In such cases, it is better to apply the mascara to the upper part only. The lower one can be highlighted with the help of a pencil or eyeliner.

6. Eyes with drooping corners

Sagging corners can be corrected with ‘flying’ brows. For this, it is necessary that the tip of the eyebrow does not go down, but up. Eyes can be visually ‘lined’ with the help of shadows in dark tones: they should be applied to the outer corners of the eyes and blended towards the forehead.

You don’t need to highlight your eyes with an eyeliner or a pencil; instead, use mascara to add volume to your lashes.

7. Eyes too far apart

In this case, you need to visually decrease the distance between the eyes. To do this, apply dark shadows in the inner corner. You can do this over the entire lid, but it’s important to opt for a deeper shade in the outer corner.

To bring the eyes a little closer, you can apply an additional layer of mascara to the inner corners. If you want to use light shadows, apply them in the center, close to the eyebrows.

There is no right shape or wrong shape of the eyes, each person has a type. But there are makeup techniques you can use to change their look if you so desire. If you have other tips, share them in the comments.
