6 Celebrities Who Became Friends With Their Ex’s New Partner

Not liking an ex’s new partner isn’t exactly an uncommon thing — some might say it’s even natural. However, sometimes past and current loved ones change the script, becoming friends with each other. It involves a lot of maturity and, of course, complete letting go of the past, which is often not an easy thing to do.

Actress Lisa Bonet married Lenny Kravitz in 1987, and the couple divorced six years later. In 2017, Bonet got married again, this time to Jason Momoa. The couple stayed together for 16 years, until they announced their separation in early 2022.

Despite all of this, Kravitz and Momoa are very good friends—in their own way. message for Momoa’s birthday, Kravitz called him “brother” and stated that they are “family”.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Dakota Johnson were involved with Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Paltrow was married to him for 13 years until they split in 2016. The couple have two children together. Martin has been dating Dakota Johnson since 2017.

The two women seem to be quite close. Gwyneth Paltrow said in an interview that she understands how strange their friendship can feel, as it is “unconventional”, but she “adores” Johnson.
