4 simple recipes for healthy treats

Everyone is used to the idea that treats are bad for keeping fit and healthy. But sometimes we want to eat some chocolate or a cookie.

Oatmeal and Coffee Truffles

15 dates. 4 tablespoons of oatmeal. 2 tablespoons of grated coconut. 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. 2 spoons of chocolate powder. A pinch of vanilla. 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom, cinnamon or nutmeg. 30 ml of espresso.

Mix all ingredients in a mixer for one minute. Leave the mixture for about 10 minutes in the fridge. Make 15 to 20 small balls. You can sprinkle them with cocoa powder, shredded coconut, ground almonds or ground walnuts. Keep in the fridge in a tightly closed container.

‘Chocolates’ with dates and almonds

20 dates. 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. 1 cup of almonds. 1/3 cup of grated coconut. A bit of salt. 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Ground almonds for sprinkling. 1 teaspoon of honey.

Add the cup of almonds to the mixer and stir for 15 minutes. At first it will be simply ground, but soon it will start to shine like a kind of pasta and, in the end, like cream. Remove the almond cream from the mixer, add a little salt, coconut oil or honey; what you prefer. In the mixer, mix the dates and vanilla extract until obtaining a homogeneous mass. Add the grated coconut, the beaten almond, the chocolate powder, the cinnamon, the salt and beat again. Form balls and roll them in powdered chocolate, ground almonds or grated coconut, according to your preference. Leave in the fridge for at least an hour. Store in the fridge in a plastic container.

Mint and chocolate ice cream

2 bananas. 1 1/2 cup cashews (can be another type of nut) Fresh mint leaves. 3 spoons of chocolate powder.

Leave the chestnuts in the water for 2 hours. Peel the bananas and cut into slices. In a mixer put the bananas, walnuts, a little honey (to taste) and some mint leaves. Beat until you get a homogeneous mass. Add cocoa powder and mix well. Place the dough in a container and leave it in the fridge overnight.

Coconut balls with sesame seeds

100 grams of grated coconut. 50 grams of powdered sugar. 50 grams of sesame seeds. 100 grams of powdered milk. 4 tablespoons of condensed milk. 1 spoon of butter. A pinch of vanilla sugar.

Fry the sesame seeds in oil until they start to change color. Add the grated coconut. Fry until golden, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and powdered milk. Mix well. Add condensed milk. Form small balls and roll in grated coconut. Store in the fridge for an hour.
