4 plants to improve hot flashes in menopause (and avoid fanning)

Hot flashes and sweating in menopause: plants that help

Vasomotor-type symptoms, such as hot flashes and night sweatsappear in many women with the arrival of menopause.

These discomforts are related to the sudden hormonal variations characteristic of this period, since estrogen production decreases, and can affect up to 80% of women over 50 years of age. But women who are still menstruating or pregnant can get them occasionally.

The intensity and duration of symptoms varies greatly from woman to woman. Sometimes they occur just once a day or less, but in other cases they do so persistently throughout the day. In turn, there are many women who barely last a couple of years, while others must resign themselves to living with these symptoms for one, two and even three decades.

Phytotherapy offers some solutions support with medicinal plants. Although they are not equally effective in all cases, they can be very useful to be able to enjoy this stage of life without so much discomfort.

He meadow clover (trifolium pratense) is the first of our selection, due to its versatility in treating the symptoms of menopause.

It is common to use it in combination with sage (sage officinalis), another great ally of women.

We have also added the black cohosh (cohosh racemose) and the hop (humulus lupulus) for its added action on mood and nervousness, respectively.

Along with these plants, it can also be useful to add adaptogenic plants such as ginseng or eleutherococcus, which complete the natural treatment of menopausal symptoms thanks to their energizing properties.
