Daniel’s liver was received by a 58-year-old woman in New Jersey. She is married and has a child. He had been on the waiting list since February 2017. His liver was immediately functioning and recovery is expected to be complete. A liver segment was also transplanted into a one-year-old child.
Daniel’s pancreas and left kidney were transplanted into a 36-year-old man, who was put on the waiting list in November 2018. The organs went into working order immediately and he is expected to make a full recovery.
Daniel’s right kidney went to a 6 year old boy.
Daniel was even able to donate fabrics. Donated tissue can dramatically improve the quality of life for people who suffer from chronic pain and reduced mobility.
