15 Latin American soap opera villains who became famous for their evil

Latin American soap operas, with their involving plots and full of intrigue, have marked the lives of many people. The viewers did not leave the front of the screen so as not to miss any scene of the long-awaited chapter. Stories of love and heartbreak, of ambition and greed were interspersed with the struggle of the protagonists, often hampered by terrible villains who were capable of doing anything to achieve their goal.

If there was an opportunistic villain par excellence, it would be Deborah Falcón de Rivero, played by Nailea Norvind in the Mexican soap opera hug me very tight 🇧🇷Hug me very strongin the original title), also aired by SBT. Deborah falls in love with the wrong man and does everything she can to get him.

The dreaded villain of the Globo soap opera Brazil Avenue, Carminha, is the stepmother of Rita, her stepdaughter, whom she abandons in a garbage dump, after being widowed by the girl’s father. Full of ambition, the villain did not want to share the inheritance with Rita. Later, after an unexpected plot twist, Carminha marries a wealthy football player, but this relationship doesn’t end well either.

Monica and Aimée are young countesses and sisters who dispute the love of João do Diabo, a pirate and bandit, for whom the two sisters are attracted in the soap opera. Roxana married for the second time to Roberto, a businessman. She is a very beautiful woman and has many ambitions and few qualms. Performed by Joana Benedek in the original version friends and rivals, Roxana is not in love with her husband, but with his son and does everything to win him over.

SBT produced and aired a Brazilian version of the Mexican telenovela, called Friends & Rivals🇧🇷 The villain, Rosana, was played by actress Talita Castro.

Carlota and her sister, Macarena, fell in love with the same man, Cristóbal; but he preferred Macarena, something Carlota could never forgive. The character, played by Leticia Calderón in the Mexican soap opera In the name of loveis a resentful woman, who seeks revenge on anyone for her unhappiness, being mean even to a little girl who came to live with her and her sister after losing her parents.

Nazaré Tedesco, the great villain played by Renata Sorrah in the Globo soap opera Lady of destination, she is a woman with few qualities. She is deeply embittered, paranoid and squanders her husband’s fortune, whom she deceived during the plot, claiming to be pregnant. In fact, Nazaré has kidnapped a girl and is willing to do anything not to lose her.

The villain was engaged to the heartthrob Armando Mendoza, with whom Betty was in love. Marcela makes the protagonist’s life unbearable, because of the jealousy she felt for Armando. Ruby is a woman who lives in a poor neighborhood with her sister and mother. This villain, transformed into the protagonist of the homonymous soap opera and played by Bárbara Mori, is obsessed with getting out of the vulnerable situation in which she finds herself, using all the tricks to do so, without worrying about harming everyone around her. The soap opera was shown in Brazil by SBT.
