12 Possible Professions of Elizabeth II, If She Wasn’t Queen of the United Kingdom

At nearly 100 years old, Queen Elizabeth must have seen a lot in this world. Anyone who looks at this elegant lady today cannot imagine that, in the past, she performed so many different activities. Being a monarch, she certainly never had to worry about clocking in to pay bills… but what if Elizabeth Mary wasn’t Queen Elizabeth II?

We, from awesome.club, we imagined the professions that the sovereign of the British throne could have based on her life experience and we were impressed with the options. Check out!

1. Driver

Queen Elizabeth has a Range Rover and, whenever possible, drives around Windsor Castle. Many years ago, she took lessons and learned to drive. However, their rides on command are limited by royal protocol. In most trips, she is guided by a driver.

A curiosity about this is the fact that Elizabeth is the only person allowed to drive without a driver’s license on public roads in the United Kingdom. Her car doesn’t need to be licensed either, a privilege that extends to her immediate family members. We’re not quite sure why, but these photos of the queen driving are just the cutest thing, don’t you think?

2. Car mechanics

When she joined the Armed Forces, Queen Elizabeth took a course in car mechanics, where she learned how to fix engines, change tires and the like. They say she loved to show off her grease-stained nails to her friends.

3. YouTuber

4. Animal caregiver

Elizabeth is famous for loving animals. She has had corgis since she was a child and started breeding dorgis years later, which are crosses between corgis and dachshunds. Her pompous horses are also on her list of favorites.

The queen has already won a series of, shall we say, original gifts: a cow, which joined the royal herd to provide the family with milk and cheese; and wild animals such as hippos, sloths, crocodiles, elephants and kangaroos (some of which were donated to the London Zoo). The list of aquatic animals includes fish and even whales. The monarchy also owns all open water swans in the country.

5. Amazon

And speaking of animals, horses and ponies are among the Queen’s longtime favorites. Since she was a little girl, she raises these animals and practices riding and equestrianism. It is also a tradition for British royalty to watch horse races.

Anne and Zara, Elizabeth’s daughter and granddaughter, respectively, share this love with the monarch. Both even competed in the Olympics.

6. Nutritionist

Queen Elizabeth eats four meals a day: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. She only eats a small portion of each one. Although she has a soft spot for sweets, overall, she’s pretty strict. But very much!

A former royal chef said the Queen has her five o’clock tea at the same time every day, no matter where she is. So when the clock strikes 5 pm in London, even though she is in Australia, in a totally different time zone, she heads to the dining room to enjoy the afternoon tea menu.

7. Stylist

Queen Elizabeth’s style reflects the state of the nation. The colors and designs of her clothes, as well as the emblematic jewelry she wears, discreetly convey a message. Over the years, the monarch’s wardrobe has transformed to keep up with the evolution of the United Kingdom and its people. Despite enlisting the help of renowned stylists, the Queen has an unwavering commitment to her personal preferences.

8. Photographer

The queen is often spotted taking pictures with her old camera, which she even accompanies at some official events. Elizabeth keeps some of the photos in albums, which she takes with her even when she goes on vacation.

9. Diplomat

Elizabeth is the most traveled monarch of all time. She would collect stamps from over a hundred countries in her passport if she had one. The Queen does not need a passport when she travels abroad. All other members of the royal family have the document.

On these trips, she had the opportunity to talk to heads of state from five continents and get to know the most varied cultures.

10. Model

This item is a combination of several others mentioned here, just to give Elizabeth Mary more career options. A person with such a strict diet, in shape, who has a unique style of dress and is always in the sights of photographers around the world is practically a model, isn’t it?

11. Reality TV Contestant

In 1996, the BBC filmed the daily lives of the royal family. The scenes showed everyone at the table, enjoying the weekend or talking. The idea was to prove that royalty are people like us, because they have a routine, in a way, similar. Due to its format, Royal Family is known today as the world’s first celebrity TV reality show, despite being billed as a documentary.

The attraction was seen by 66% of the British population at the time and international broadcasters wanted to show it. However, Queen Elizabeth was not happy with the result and suspended the program. Since then, this material has been kept secret, but parts of it can already be found on the internet.

12. Huntress

Anyone who has watched the Netflix series The Crown already knows that not only Queen Elizabeth but a good part of the royal family has hunting as a hobby. They usually gather at a holiday home in Scotland to practice sports.
