11. SOS Mata Atlântica
One of the most famous NGOs in Brazil, SOS Mata Atlântica develops actions to benefit the environment, and carries out, among other things, the mapping and monitoring of the entire plant conservation area in this biome.
10. Embrace
Abrace helps children and adolescents with cancer and also supports their families. The president of the NGO is Ilda Peliz, who more than 20 years ago lost her two-year-old daughter to a nervous system tumor.
9. Vocation
Vocação is an NGO that develops socio-educational actions aimed at children and adolescents to help them adapt to the job market and community development.
8. Godfather Grade 10
Padrinho Nota 10 encourages volunteer work in orphanages throughout Brazil. On the NGO’s website you can find a list of shelters throughout Brazil. They are also the interface for the Acolhedora program. This program consists of temporarily welcoming a child, teenager or groups of siblings who live in orphanages into your home.
7. Children’s Villages
The Brazilian cell of the international NGO Aldeias Infantis focuses on caring for children and adolescents in vulnerable situations, offering education, sports, leisure and income.
6. Amigos do Bem
Amigos do Bem works in the allocation of food, clothing and dental and medical care to areas of the northeastern hinterland.
5. Dorina Nowill Foundation
Fundação Dorina Nowill is one of the oldest and most respected institutions in Brazil to help the visually impaired.
4. Graacc
Graacc maintains a hospital for the care of children and adolescents up to 18 years of age with cancer. It is a reference in the country in studies on childhood tumors, in partnership with a federal university, Unifesp.
3. Fraternity Without Borders
Fraternity Without Borders is an organization that develops international humanitarian aid in the most needy places on the planet. And, since 2015, it has also helped and accompanied families who had children affected by microcephaly.

The NGO Viva e Let Viver operates in 7 Brazilian states and seeks to provide comfort to children and adolescents hospitalized or undergoing clinical care through reading and playing.
