10 Movies with a Happy Ending, But Apparently We Were Wrong

Many films end quite ambiguously. And what we think of as a happy ending can actually be the opposite. Today we want to talk to you about these films.

End of the movie: Truman leaves the entertainment world, in which he was born and raised, and returns to reality. There, a real girl and a new life await him.

Frustrating truth: Truman’s escape from the show only piqued more interest in him. In fact, he is still so famous and every step he takes will be watched by normal people. Therefore, the protagonist’s dream of a quiet life is unlikely to be fulfilled.

End of the movie: Marty McFly manages to return to the present and, after the course of history changes, his parents become rich and happy.

Frustrating truth: to create a perfect alternative for the future, the hero had to erase his past. His mom, dad, and friends basically became real strangers.

End of the movie: Jack realized that Tyler was his alter ego🇧🇷 He finally feels a coherent personality and even as he holds Marla’s hand he watches as outside the window the city is destroyed.

Frustrating truth: Jack would have to be held accountable for all the crimes that Tyler allegedly committed. His arrest is just a matter of time.

End of the movie: the young lawyer Arthur joins his wife in the afterlife.

Frustrating truth: it’s hard to consider the death of a protagonist a happy ending. But if we perceive this film as a metaphor, the ending will acquire another meaning.

End of the movie: Douglas Quaid goes to Mars and, discovering that the population of this planet suffers from the lack of quality air, which has been stolen, he joins the resistance. The hero manages to start a machine to generate oxygen and return air and freedom to the Martians.

Frustrating truth: possibly, death squads will soon be sent to Mars, which will kill Douglas and again enslave the Martians.

End of the movie: after the accident, Lucy loses her memory, but Henry has an idea: the main moments of his life are recorded on camera and every morning he proposes his beloved to watch the videos with these memories.

Frustrating truth: although Henry continues to record everything on video, with each passing year this will be a less romantic script. One morning, Lucy might wake up pregnant, sick, or older and have to get to know herself.

End of the movie: the US and USSR arms race is over, a nuclear war has been averted.

Frustrating truth: the Rorschach newspaper fell into the hands of journalists. After publishing it, the conspiracy of silence will be ruined and a new stage in the arms race will begin.

End of the movie: Captain Colter prevents the explosion on the train. To do this, he used a “Source Code” program, thanks to which he is transported into the body of another passenger, Sean. Finally, his consciousness remains in a new body, he falls in love with Christina, Sean’s girlfriend, and they become a happy couple.

Frustrating truth: the only one affected in this story is Sean, whose body has been taken over by Colter. He simply disappeared.

End of the movie: Max Fischer organizes a play in the school theater, starts communicating with a nice girl and forgets about her attempts to get the teacher’s attention.

frustrating truth: the music that plays at the end of the film hints at unhappy love and that in reality, feelings towards the teacher will remain.

End of the movie: after meeting the boy Russel, the grumpy old Carl changes. Both continue to live as if they were grandfather and grandson.

Frustrating truth: the pessimists see another end to this animation and confirm that, in reality, Carl and Russell have little time. But in this example, the awesome.club supports optimists and believes that in reality everything will be fine for them!
