Of his mother’s pierced core, great and torrential currents of water arose, until they formed what would be known as the seas and rivers of the whole world. After almost a week of a non-stop marathon, Ochosi passed out exhausted on the shore of a beach. The Orisha of the seas, Yemayá, emerged from the depths to wake him up and advise him to look for her sister, queen of fresh waters, Oshún.
