The seventh of the 10 commandments is: Thou shalt not steal. We know it’s not legal to take what’s not ours, and it’s against the law. The other has worked to get what he has and it is not up to anyone to take it from him. For the church, this sin is strong, because it goes against one of the great teachings, that of charity, helping others. In other words, to enter the kingdom of Heaven it is not enough just not to steal, it is necessary to give to those who need it. Today, we come across many needy people and ignore them, whether due to lack of time, fear or discomfort. A good Christian helps, treats everyone as a brother, and is always willing to lend a hand.

If we stop to think about the Law of Return, we can imagine that if we take something that isn’t ours, that item will be taken from us somehow, or it won’t do us much good. Therefore, it is better to work to conquer the material world in an honest and decent way than to simply take it from someone.

In 2005, a group of thieves rented a house near the Central Bank of Fortaleza and began digging a tunnel to the bank’s vault. Detail, this tunnel had air conditioning and light. The group stole around R$160 million and to this day some members are still at large.

Train Robbery – Do Not Steal – Seventh Commandment
In 1963 an American gang, led by Bruce Rynolds, robbed a train without using any weapons. They pretended they worked at the post office and simply took $3.5 million.

In 1987 two men walked into a cash deposit in England. They said they wanted to rent a safe, but they were armed. Without any difficulty, they surrendered the security guards and stole the trifle of US$112.9 million.
