Shout to God, all the earth,

Sing the glory of his name,

give him glorious praise.

Say to God: “Your works are stupendous!

Such is your power that the enemies themselves

glorify you.

All the earth bow down before you,

and sing in your honor the glory of your name.”

Come and contemplate the works of God:

he did wonders among the children of men.

Changed the sea to dry land;

they crossed the river on dry ground;

this is the reason for our joy.

Rule by his power forever;

their eyes behold the heathen nations.

May the rebels not raise their heads!

Bless, O peoples, our God,

publish your praises!

It was he who preserved the life of our soul,

and did not allow our feet to slip,

for you have proved us, O God,

You have polished us like silver.

You let us fall into the noose,

a heavy burden you have placed on our backs.

You put us under the yoke of men,

we passed through fire and water;

but at last you gave us relief.

It is therefore as burnt offerings that I will come into your house,

I will pay the vows I made to you,

vows uttered by my lips,

when I was in tribulation.

I will offer the most beautiful sheep as a burnt offering,

with the fattest sheep;

I will sacrifice bulls and goats.

Come, hear all you who fear the Lord.

I will tell you how great things

God made my soul.

My lips invoked him,

with my tongue I praised him.

If I intended evil in my heart,

the Lord would not have listened to me.

But God heard me;

answered the voice of my supplication.

Blessed be God who did not reject my prayer,

nor withheld his mercy from me.
