Psalm of Friendship – 97

“The Lord reigns!
Let the earth rejoice, let the multitude of the islands rejoice.
He is enveloped in a dark cloud; his throne is founded on justice and right.
He is preceded by a fire that devours the enemies around him.
Their lightning lights up the world, the earth shudders at the sight of them.
In the presence of the Lord the mountains melt like wax, in the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
The heavens proclaim his justice and all peoples behold his glory.
Those who worship statues and glory in their idols are confounded;
for the gods prostrate themselves before the LORD.
Hear and rejoice, Zion, the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, O LORD.
For you, Lord, are the ruler of all the earth; you are the most high among all
gods.
The Lord loves those who hate evil, he watches over the souls of his servants and delivers them from the hands of the wicked.
Light shines to the righteous, and joy is given to the upright in heart.
Rejoice in the Lord, O righteous one, and give glory to his holy name.”

Psalm of Friendship – 133

“Oh, how good, how pleasant it is for close brothers to live together.
It is like a soft oil poured on the forehead, and that runs down to the beard,
Abraham’s beard, and then run to the hem of his robe.
It is like the dew of Hermon, which descends on the hill of Zion; for there the Lord pours out
life is an eternal blessing.
